Germed using the paper towel method, and planted in plastic cups. It has been 6 days since they sprouted from the cup, have them planted in FFoF and have been using distilled water, no nutes just yet but have the full foxfarm line. Using 4 4' t8 bulbs with a mix of cool white and warm white bulbs. Also have a oscillating fan on them 24/7 and have the fluoros on 18 hours a day. I also have some heat tape under the cups to add some warmth and the temp has been right around 75 degrees or so. How do they look? Any advice? This is my first grow and I have done some research but still could use input!

hey bro, looking good and i know how you feel, im glad to be the first one to try to lend a helping hand, they look pretty good from what i can see in the pics but the first set of leaves should probably be alittle more perked up from what i can remember when i grew from seed...im sure its nothing, try to keep the temps between 70-80F and the humidity as high as possible while in early growth, click on my signature and i think you will get some good tips, i also use FFoF and ill let you know something that realllly helped me out...i got a cheap ass fold top sandwich bag and cut the corner off the bottom, placed the bag entirely over the cup with the cut corner up so it was kind of like a triangle. it kept in tons of humidity and those particular seedlings were ultra green and robust, i didnt take the bags off until the leaves were touching the plastic and if i ever grow from seed again ill do the same...HPIM1325.jpg

and another thing, dont add ANY nutes until they are atleast like 6 inches tall, the FFoF is good starting soil. i use flora nova VEG/BLOOM nutes myself but FF nutes are same shit im sure... good luck and dont forget to click on my signature bro, i updated that shit often and ill answer any questions u might have...welcome to RIU

Thanks Mazand, I will definately try this. I think that the humidity is the only thing suffering, especially with the fan blowing on them. The humidity has been in the 50's which I know is too low. When they were smaller I had a plastic rubbermaid tub over all of them, but once they got a bit bigger I took it off so I could get the fluoros closer. Baggies would definately be the answer! I will post an update in a day or two and let you know how it works!

awesome bro, glad to hear it, like i said furry, the bags helped me huge...youll see. i kept spraying the soil with a spray bottle and letting the humidity build up dew drops inside the bag and the plants couldnt love it more, the humidity must have been like 200% but fuck it, the seedlings you have will explode since you have the added heat pad IMO too....like i said furry, my current grow is about 2.5 weeks into flowering and they are from seed, they are ultra healthy and id b glad to give a helping hand...

Day 8
They look much better today thanks to the plastic baggie trick from Mazand! Starting to look a little perkier, and I did turn off the fan to get the temp up a bit and it seems to be hovering around 85-86 degrees. Shouldn't need the fan until the bags are off anyways, right? Let me know what you guys think.

Day 11
Took away the heat pad a few days ago, and left the fan off as well. Now temps are right around 77 degrees which should be perfecto. The one plant seems to be curling in a little bit on the edges of the larger leaves, don't know if I should be worried though because overall I think it looks healthy. What do you guys think? Also, how much longer should I wait to start out the foxfarm nutes? Maybe another week?

Just remember to start your nutes at 1/4 strength in the beginning and go from there. Looks good! Good luck and happy growing.

When should I consider my plants in the "Vegetative stage?" Should they be a bit bigger or have a certain amount of leaves? I am thinking they are still seedlings at this point but was wondering when I should start counting the weeks of my veg stage

The weeks of your veg stage start from the day you planted your seed. I just harvested Vaniilla Kush from Barney's Farm and I vegged for 35 days from planting and flowered for 70 days.
