2 hour light leak

Hello All,

I have been sick lately and was down pulling the tops down (2nd week of flower and showing) early this morning. I put the plants on the opposite schedule of natural light for heat reasons. As I said I have been sick and I forgot to not only close one of the doors on my tent (sealed and light tight IF zippered shut) but I left the garage light on also. I had gone upstairs for "Just a minute" that turned into a session on the couch. This light is pretty far from the tent but a good portion was on at least 3 plants and slightly reflected throughout the rest of the room because it is covered in mylar. I caught this after about 2 hours of the HPS lights being off so the damage I am hoping is not too bad.

Setup:
Light tight tent
Clones in Hydro
Tard who left the tent door slightly open for 2 hours after lights out

Question:
As long as I don't do this anymore I should be alright? Or what possible problems should I be looking out for?

Thanks,
Variable

Yea one time or two times is typically okay. Might not have the same gain you'd expect from one day to the next, but it will be okay. Here is a logistical help as I've done this before.

I have my 4x8x8 tent taking up more than half of the volume of my bedroom. I have a nightstand lamp between my bed and my tent. I have my grow lamp connected to my timer, as well as my nightstand lamp. That way when the grow lamp is off, the other lights in the room automatically turn off as well. I have left that lamp on for a whole day in my room before, and needed that to NEVER happen again. So I'd say just hook up everything in the same room as the tent to timers to protect yourself from this.

Also, if the light leak happened at the start of the dark period then you should definitely be fine. The photosensitive hormones are really spooked if the plant is woken up hard in the middle of the night cycle, no so much stress/damage if there is a weak lamp on far away if they were in the light period turning to dark.

OK, weed is really a rugged plant. If that makes any sense. We really have to try hard to kill it. The problem Lie's in finial yield!
You will be fine. You have to remember it came from outdoors. Were there were storms at night, lighting and all that. So you leaving the lights on once is no big deal to me. Just don't make it a habit. I tape the switch and put a flashlight by the door!

Thanks for all the replies guys! I figured that it being the start of the dark period I wouldn't shock them too much and this is the only time I have done it. @Grandpa. I do have a Green light at the door. This was just a case of "Be right back" then Snoooooozing on the couch because I am sick. :wall: lol

I will agree with grampa. It is a hard plant to kill and I have seen some plants come back from what looked like death. If you see any balls drop, then you'll know there was an issue. I'd be very surprised though if there were any issues from here forward. You can switch out your lights with green light bulbs as well.

There's an Idea!
Tape on the switch works for me when I'm straight, sometimes not so much when I'm stoned on ww though!
