1. How many weeks or so dose it take for the plants to start smelling?
2. Is it true that just some random seeds out of a bag of mids could produce better buds than what the seeds came from?

1. when the plants go into flowering, no buds, no smell

2. yeah, depending on how you take care of em

peace

I'm not sure about the seed question, I have heard both ways.

However, I have a grow going now that started smelling a while before flowering, after about 2 1/2 weeks into the grow.

The smell really depends on the strain.
I have a 10 inch skunk plant that smells more than my B.C Big bud and there was 15 of them.
And in my experiance seeds from shwag can be regrown in to good bud.. Take care of your bud and it will take care of you..

1) It's totally strain dependant. Pure Indica's or Indica dominants can start stinking from about weeks 2-3 of Vegetative growth, others later on in flowering, some smell strong and pungent some smell citrusy and sweet - it variies.

2) Yes. One of the reasons dealer bought weed isn't that great is because of the way the buds have been handled, the more rough handling they get the more trichomes they lose and the more potency goes down. By growing a plant from seed you have the opportunity to maximise that plants potential and produce the best smokeable product you can - which could turn out to be quite different to the weed you smoked from the same bag the seeds come from.

thanks for the responses, im trying to take as much care of them as i can, i need more cfls soon though...
