Anything you dont think will reach the canopy is just a "sucker".
Too much stress to cut all 4 at once ?
You trim twice in flower?

I trim as needed. Once its actually flowering you wont see many new sprouts.

A lot of people like to defoliate at day 1 from flip and then again around day 21. I try to avoid heavy trimming after the 3rd week but I'll continue to pull leaves in small amounts as needed.
So would you trim these little off shoots

LOL.. That plant looks much smaller than the original.
Heres mine, it has been trimmed frequently. 9 days of 12/12 today

Some bonsai wire only. Hopefully it stays that even
Oh looks like you topped it at some point and then topped the lower nodes to get two off shoots per branch.
