24 or 48 Hours of Dark before Flower?

You don't need to *trick* or *fool* them by giving them a whole bunch of darkness before 12/12 starts. The plant slowly builds hormone levels to trigger flowering. Doesnt 48 hours of straight darkness seem a little unnatural to you?

I ALWAYS start with twelve hours of light then switch too dark. :)
i leave my plants vegging for 24/0 so i just take the plants that i want to start flowering and throw them in the flower room when the lights go off because the darkness is actually when the cycle starts
