250 watt grow. NEWBIE, on the rise.

So i Bought a 250w HPS light and ballast setup and was wondering how big or small my grow box should be, im planning on planting in soil and making the lights height adjustable. Any help would be great, i was also wondering if its possible for me to veg under the HPS light?

Theres no problem with veging under hps though some will advise you to veg under mh and then flower only with hps. My personal view is that it doesnt matter too much.
