2nd Grow. Dutch Passion Blueberry, Big Bud and Power Skunk from seed. 400 MH/HPS

This is my second grow overall, first time in soil. Thought I'd give it a try with some seeds I had laying around and some new ones I ordered from attitude seeds which came it yesterday inside a Bob Marley t-shirt.

This grow is going to be 5 plants:

• 2 feminized Dutch Passion Blueberry
• 2 G13 Labs Power Skunk
• 1 Big Bud seed leftover from previous grow

I am going to be germinating in peat pellets on top of my cable box and growing in Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil mixed 75/25 with perlite. No nutes for the first 3 weeks, just pH'ed water out of the tap.

These will be started under 24 CFLs (my balast is busy powering an HPS bulb for my other grow). I plan to veg them for at least a month, possibly longer and hopefully take some clones before flowering.

I'm not going to try anything fancy with this grow, want the natural course of things have it's way. Once I think the plants are ready for some nutes, I'll be using the Fox Farms trio pack.

I germinated my seeds in peat pellets inside a tupperware container on top of my cable box.

I started Big Bud on Thanksgiving and it sprouted in 2 days. Last night I started the 2 Blueberry seeds and tonight hope to start the 2 Power Skunk seeds (ran out of peat pellets to do them all last night).

Nothing new to update on, just putting up some pics to keep track of growth progress.

The 2 Blueberry seeds are still germinating, expecting them to show their little heads tomorrow.

Thanks guys, hopefully I've learned enough from my previous grow to make this one right. Like I said, my approach to this one is 'Nothing Fancy'. I figure this stuff grows really well in the wild and adding unnecessary chemicals to it doesn't sound appealing to me.

I checked this morning and the blueberry biznatches haven't poked their heads out of soil yet, hopefully I'll see them break surface tonight. I'll post another pic of the Big Bud progress tonight.

again, not much excitement. just posting a pic for a growth example.

The Blueberries have not yet popped out of ground yet, but hopefully soon. I have started germinating 2 G13 labs power skunks for a grand total of 5 plants if all germinate and take.

Thanks strawberrycough! The leaves look nice and green and lots of growth. I'll keep posting pictures of the growth rate, should try to stitch them into a movie at the end!

Good news! Checked my germination chamber (a tupperware container with a cracked lid sitting on top of my cable box) this morning and one of the Blueberries started to poke it's little head out. The other one is still being shy, but hopefully when I get home from work today, they'll both be out and ready for some light!

I just recently tried dutch passion blueberry. Watch out for hermies, it wasn't really bad I let it go all the way through harvest. Found some seeds here and there, just keep an eye out.

Yeah, unfortunately I keep hearing of the femmed Blueberries going hermi easily. I hope at least one of mine turns out straight female, but if not, I'll just pluck the balls off as I see them! (that was painful to type!!!)

How was the smoke (taste, high, smoothness) of the blueberries you grew SmokerE?

All is looking pretty good so far. I've got 1 blueberry and 2 power skunks germinating. Big bud is 12 days old and looking good. 1 of the blueberries came up this morning so I moved her under the light.

Exclusive world premier of Blueberry #1:

Good news, checked this morning and the second blueberry came out of the peat pellet it was germinating in and is looking good. Moved her in with her sister under the lights. Now just waiting on the 2 Power Skunks to sprout and I'll be good to go.

Big Bud and now the 2 twin blueberry girls are under 24 CFL lights. I have half cool and half warm color temperature lights. They are 26w and right now I have 6 of them on with more on standby as needed.

I haven't watered Big Bud in about 6 days now and it's feeling pretty light so I'll give it a good soak tonight with water adjusted to 6.5pH. I'll probably move the 2 blueberry sprouts into soil too and give them their first good watering.

I'll post pics and update soon.

So, this is day 13 for Big Bud and all is looking good. Watered it today with plain tap water pH adjusted to 6.5.

The blueberry sisters are looking good and enjoying their first hours of light. I'll consider this day 1 for both of them.

Any guesses on where I'm doing this grow at? I mean, where in the house...

answer might surprise you...

This is week 2 for Big Bud and it's looking nice and healthy. The 2 blueberries are now in 1/2 gallon grow bags and 1 of the power skunks sprouted today so I put it under the lights. Just one more plant go and I'll have a full house!

The plants are still under the 24 light schedule which I'll be switching down to 18/6 next week once all the plants in this grow are in soil.

So...no guesses as to where this grow is located? Anyone???
