2nd grow prep

just coming up to the ends of my first grow and i've just recieved the seeds for my second.

first grow was done exclusively under CFL, this time around it'll just be vegging under CFL, planning on picking up a 400w HPS for flowering. the Hydro system is just going to have to wait till next time, so it will be a soil medium again.

going to be doing two groups of 3 plants - group 1 - Strawberry blue, tangerine dream and fruit auto.
group 2 - og kush, critical+, jack herer.

this is about all i have set in stone, i'm a bit clueless with nutrients and boosters and stimulators etc ruined my moby dick last time by giving her too much nutrients too late on (the running consensus atm) hopefully if i try to learn a lot more about that, this grow should yield some bountiful results!

any advice?

I would hit your local indoor shop and see what they have available...although I would stay away from their pricey shit they try so hard to sell but grab a line and good luck! your line up sounds killer!

when i went nute hunting last time the guy tried to sell me two bottles of bio bizz stuff a booster and some nutes, wanted 80quid for them. thought that was a bit excessive....

he does champion Dutch Pro, says its new and one of the best, but i'd rather go with something tried and tested if anyones got any brands they can justify as better than others?

it is tough to recommend as certain areas and certain shops only carry certain line ups. 80quid does sound too high (were they bigger than liter size?" I would check the NPK as thats what counts and try to keep the heavy metals low and stay away from the hype and magic powders/boosters that seem to kill rather than help. I have a good friend who uses the dutch pro in macc who swears by it. what soil you using or going to use?

they were both 1litre bottles. thanks for the tip about the boosters etc if its not needed then i'll pass. went with a bio biz soil last time (recommended by grow shop dude, think he's on commission) not set in stone with my soil choice yet either, that bio bizz one had all the perlite worm castings and bonemeal thru it, but i'm inclined to go with a plain potting soil and use my nutes start to finish to get to grips with nutes properly but that may be a bit above my skill level as yet

picked up some Dutch Pro flowering nutes, got two plants v near the end and one thats taking forever, i'll try them out on the last plant and if i like the difference might be all go. should i flush for a bit before changing nutes?
