2nd grow still need a little advice

Hi all, im am just coming to the end of my first grow in my new tent, she is looking ok but not impressed with the size and quality of the buds. I have used canna nutes in soil all the way and intend to do so with my new grow, my new grow will start the same under 3 t5s but i have now got a 400w mh with 4000k coming in the post, ok so here come the questions, my veg nutes have a n.p.k of 3-1-4 and my flower nutes have a n.p.k of 2-2-4, should i use the nutes in every water or do i give every other watering ??? My soil drains well and needs watering roughly every 2-3 days. My first grow was vegged for 32 days as i only had 1 plant in a 900x900x1200 tent, this grew to tall and ended up getting bent over more times than elton john. Would i benefit from some sort of training like lst, i have a rough idea how to do this but feel free to send me a link. Hope to hear from you guys soon and thanks in advance for the tips.

I'm not experienced with nutes but the idea of LST is just to tie your plants down from a relatively early age. Easiest method I've seen and one which my friend recommends very highly is to attach screws to the sides of your pots (quite a few, depending on how much branching your young plant does) and then to tie the main stem to string and the other end to the pot, manually bending your stem very gently (so that it doesn't break) to make it lean at an angle, the same can then be done throughout the plant's life with the growth from that stem and on branches in order to make the canopy as flat as possible and increase light penetration

Because your plant will be tied to its own pot and not to any external surface this means you can rotate it to examine it and generally make it easier to work with, my buddy has had some excellent results growing with this kind of LST and a "dome" of CFLS

two things to note are not to do it TOO early as the strain may just uproot your plant if it hasn't established its roots very well and if you're truly stuck for space try to use an indica, because though sativas can be LST'd as well, the indica will always make the best use of an area with a low ceiling

First off I'm a total newb. But I've looked around at lot of vids, and it seems you can bend this baby to gold :D I'm doing my first flower and since it was an indica I only topped it once before flowering. But I had other branches growing inside and on the outside. What the vids and such told me was that i could tie down the larger, bend them down and all the nodes in the middle + the smaller branches coming up would flourish. I'm seeing great result with this and many of the nugs inside have started to equal the size of the tops on the smaller branches. I used some thin rope and tape. Tape was weak and the plant forced it self halfway out of it each day, resulting that I had to redo them each day. Bit pain in the butt, I migth go with a more permanent tiedown next time. Now im 2-3 weeks from harvest and I have removed all the ropes n such. The stems have become hardned and are more or less locked in a bent position. This must be because of the occialting fan im using, mimicking hard wind and strengthening the stems. Hope you get the result your looking for :)

if you use big enough pots, say 3 gallon, for budding and decent compost you shouldnt need to feed much, maybe once or twice after about a couple of weeks of 12/12 and then you should only use weak nutes say half the recommended dose, maybe ec of about 0.7 or 0.8
