Ok so my first attempt for some reason looked just like the guides but did nothing but continue growing normally with half the leaves cut off.
This is a couple days after I cut it.
Anyway I tried again on a new plant and cut much lower. I actually totally took off one of the fan leaves that was hidden in the growth tip.
This time the branches are growing significantly, similar to other plants I topped so I think it worked, but the plant is also bent over so it could be from that.
I have no idea what it’s supposed to look like but at this point it seems like it could grow five mains, the usual one plus the two nodes underneath.
You guys think it looks like it worked this time or is it wishful thinking.
