2nd time Hydro - 1st time 1 plant SCROG - CHEMDOG

Hey everybody first ill give my very short grow history. Had tent and lights etc given to me by my cousin and trundled on with my first ever grow, hydroponics aswell. (Thrown in at deep end? I like that) Anyway what i had to work with was a 4 pot Wilma and a ds90 tent, anyone who knows about their kit would instantly know that theres not alot of room with all that lot going on , not to mention extractor and carbon filter being inside the tent. Long story short i ended up having to ditch one of the plants through lack of space (its actually flowering nicely in my cousins back garden lol quite shocking considering the traumatic experience it went through and from a lovely hydro environment to barely alive dirt!) Had alot of trouble towards the end trying to keep the buds away from being to close to the light which was now at max possible height (no hangers just strapped to top of the tent). Anyway the weed was Blue cheese from barneys and it actually ended up being chronic, much better than most of the stuff that i usually buy with exceptions. After good feedback i thought id go at it again but i had spent all my earnings on a engagement ring for my partner (she said yes wahoo :D) After trawling these forums for a while i realised what i wanted to do this time. I wanted to do a 1 plant monster canopy grow, i quickly came up with an idea whilest looking at my mothers coffee table one day. I would drop the pots through the table so the minimal amount was inside the tent and have all workings of drainage and reservoir below the table (so much better than reservoir in the tent and everything on top)
After buying my mother a replacement coffee table and taking hers me and my cousin began building, Were both pretty shocking at DIY but to our surprise absolutely everything went just as i planned. My inspiration comes from flowamasta's methodology thread which takes the title for the most words ive read in one sitting probably EVER. so just like flowamasta im using perlite this time instead of hydrocorn/rockwool centre (something weird about perlite that just gives me a much more clean and tidy feeling)

Temporary feed ring i have a 12" halo on the way, although i kinda regret buying it now since the one i made works really well. As you can see the pot barely comes into the tent (well worth cutting the tent for id say). Still space for more perlite/the rockwool cube my little princess will be in. With the old setup the top of the pots began around half way up the passive air intake.

So much more height available than before, light can go so much higher although i dont think ill have to go to the extremes heights i did last time having a more controlled and flat canopy. Had to stick a bit of MDF on top of the coffee table to make it a bit wider so the tent sat on it nicely.

Tested thoroughly and it irrigates perfectly, never done any sorta plumbing in my life. Its rather weird how much satisfaction you can get from fitting a drainage system to a bucket(with a bucket inside) that beautiful feeling when everything flows perfectly with 100% dryness on the outside. The last part of the piping after the UBend isnt glued its merely rested in there to stop the sound of splash a silencer if u will easily detatchable allowing me to remove the reservoir. 30 seconds of the drip from the height without the silencer was enough to drive me insane and make me need to urinate lol. Had no idea what i needed so casually without giving anything away explained what i wanted to do to a guy in a plumbing shop just suggested this, hey i was there so i went with it.

Seeds are currently germinating using a standard "stick em in rockwool" technique, never failed me last time so having saught alot of information im sticking to a bit of advice and just sticking to what works for me. Going to veg a couple to a small plant and choose the best looking candidate to go into the throne.
Ive chosen Chemdog from greenhouse seeds (OG Kush X Sour Diesel) It says theyre good for scrog on their site with good yields and potency, what more could i want.
Still undecided as to how high i should fit the scrog net, im hoping to get it fitted sooner rather than later tho.

Anyway ill post updates in the future, any feedback is welcome and appreciated. Lets hope the rest goes as much to plan as everything has so far

Update

29 Days Seeds planted
26 Days under light

Had a bit of a slow start due to reusing a Dual spectrum bulb that had been used a few times. Obviously there was alot of lumen loss and extra heat output this caused a slow start but i soon replaced it for a nice cool brand new MH and it instantly responded with awesome growth. Got it nice and bushy just waiting for it to recover from topping and vertically grow again for a few days before pulling the first Net down. Then comes the fun part i guess :P (Id like to say it should be easy because its such a slow process but sometimes it feels like i blink and its grown lol)
