2x2 tent - 10 gallon grow of stupidity

I'm back, trip took a little longer than expected but the plant is fine.

I put the trellis on and tomorrow I want to defoliate the canopy a bit to let light get through to the lower shoots. Then I will start organizing it and giving it some structure and building that canopy.

Some other info: I tried giving it 1000 ppfd as soon as veg started and it was too much, started seeing symptoms of light burn. Reduced it to 600 and then a week later to 800 and the plant took it well. Before I left for my trip I increased it to 1000.

The only nutrients I've used are some old ass GH trio and cal mag, and that's what I'm feeding until the end. These bottles have been sitting there opened for about 3 years and they have so much salt buildup on the lids I can barely open them.

The temp and humidity fluctuate everyday, right now it's 78/50.

It's been 4 days since I last posted. Most of the larger old fan leaves have been cut and most of the canopy is new growth.

Right now I'm waiting to fill the net with as many tops as possible, I will be flipping soon. I will defoliate again once before the flip and maybe again at 21, although I would prefer to avoid a second defoliation.

Ppfd is at 1000 and 77F, 44RH. People have messaged me asking about the feed. I feed GH trio, meaning the 3 base bottles and cal/mag. Water is tap and I don't ph. This is for the whole grow beginning to end. No microbes, no supplements, no foliar sprays etc. ppm is 600 per feed. I feed once or twice a week.

I don't know what the seed is. It's from a seed bag with hundreds of random seeds. I don't buy fancy seeds from top breeders because I don't have the money, but I'm happy with what I have, at least I get to have a stash and smoke weed.

I hope it's a female but I will harvest the pollen if it's male. Overall I'm happy with this strain whatever it might be, it didn't give me any problems and grew well, let's see what happens now when the main event starts.

Idk if I'm doing that next but I like the concept, I'll try it at some point.
if you use a small coke bottle, it works best for the seedling stage, great for newbie growers as they tend to over water the soil and wash the nutrients out before the plant gets a chance to use them.
lovin your 10 gal pot in the 2 x 2 tent man, its cool

I can do a good defoliation now and add another 10-20 bud sites or keep it as is.

Normally I add another round of sites but I like how it looks right now

How much vertical space are you working with? I'd consider flipping, and adding a second layer of net for support.
I'm running a 10gal right now in a 4x4, trust me that stretch was unexpected. Much more than expected. If you have 5ft or less of clearance I'd flip asap. Also.. pray it's a girl.

6 feet vertical. On top of everything you said we also don't know what we are working with here because we don't know what the strain is. I don't let the plant get a lot of vertical before the flip for that reason, right now there's good head-space. I have another net handy in case it's needed.

I'll flip tonight, I wanted another 10-15 tops but I've enjoyed working with this plant so far, I think it will do well as it is right now.

Can I see the plant you mentioned?

When I flipped, it was only supposed to fill the net. At least that’s how it played out in my head. No complaints though. I have a second layer of trellis ready to support what’s grown.

I see it went ham on you. I like your space, that looks like it will yield well.

I flipped mines, this is what we are working with
