does anyone know where i can get a not to pricey water pump for a 4 pot system?

how well will it work with just plain distilled water?

whats best fert for a auto plant?

you can find cheap pumps on ebay,as far as the distilled water goes I dont know if you will be able to grow a plant to harvest without some type of nutes, and for the auto's they dont require alot of nutes from what I have read but I have only grown a few autos in soil in the past.you also will need a ph meter or test kit and a ppm meter before you consider doing any type of hydro, with out these items you will never know what your ph is and what your ppm is,these are critical to a good grow and I wouldnt try hydro without them.you may want to do alot of reading before you get started so you know what you are getting into, hydro is a great way to grow but there is more cost involved in getting started and keeping your plants healthy and happy,I would sugest dwc for your first grow, its a bit easyer and cheaper if you build your set up yourself. all you need to know is here if you look and read. good luck

You need nutrients plain distilled water or reverse osmosis wont cut it.. Humans need food so do plants..Like snocat said you will also need to drop some money on PPM & PH meters .
