Well you would have to do some upgrading. I'm sure it's not light proof.. With a bit of work you could turn it into a grow tent. Although the 'breathable fabric' might prove to be a problem if you're worried about smell. It's not that hard to build your own if you're looking to save a buck.. I built mine in one day for less than 150$ that's not including price of exhaust fan and carbon filter Lights etc. but it's not hard to do...
