315W LEC in a 3'x3'

So far so good at 16 days old.
I've got these White Widow autos about 20-24" under the light.
20/4 light cycle.
50/50 Fox Farms OF/HF with added coarse perlite.
One application of diluted tea and rainwater. The rest all rainwater.
Tent averaging 77F/55%rh.
Lights out it drops a bit to 70F and humidity goes up about 10 points.
Constant oscillating fan and stationary fan.
Exhaust fan thematically controlled.
Added a TaoTronics humidifier which operates via a built in humidistat.

Nice to see you got setup and going @TedeBoy Haven't seen any autos run under these LEC's, since you're essentially running a veg cycle and flower cycle together, what bulbs are you using the 4200k, 3100k or both?

I'm using the bulb it shipped with. The 3100K. My local hydro store guy said they have had tremendous results using this bulb all the way through.

ive only just started w/ the cdl lamps, but i can say they work very well. if you plan to veg and flower under the same lamp with an auto, chances are you will have very small plants.. i never run auto but my regulars need lots of veg time as the stretch under ceramic lighting is very minimal.. a cutting veged under mh than flowered under hps w/ 1 week of veg stretches far more than the same strain getting 2 weeks veg under mh than flowered under the ceramic..
im interested to see a plant vegged under the 4200k cdl than flowered under the 3100k cdl and how much it stretches...

i can say that even with the minimal stretch yields under the cdl's is really great,,,with hps it takes time and practice to get the gram per watt.. with the 315 watt cdl's it was easy,, maybe because that 315 watts is equivilant to 500 watts hps? i believe with some time and experience 1.75 gram per watt is achievable with these lamps,,, possibly 2 gpw or close to it...

It will be interesting to see, I've heard other resellers claiming the same for the 4200k bulbs, keep in mind most of them know shit and will tell you what you want to hear, or more likely favour what they have in inventory - lol I think either will do, the 4200k might favour the initial few weeks in veg with the extra blues but both bulbs provide quite a wide spectrum.

hey GroErr, what is your best gpw achieved so far under cdl?? i believe u had said it was under a single lamp correct??

Kinda unrelated but here is a pic from my last auto grow. Under T5s for the first couple of weeks then a Mars Hydro 900.

I think my 315W LEC will do better. That's my hope anyway.

These are Northern Lights and Fast & Vast autos.

is it true potency is lacking in auto strains?? ive heard pro's n con's on auto but just never tried as i use clones alot and autos seem worthless as each seed is a plant,, so id go through way too many seeds running auto...

I make an infused coconut oil that kicks butt. I get a good effect from vaping and smoking also.

1.2 but I'm usually growing mixed strains/pheno hunts so difficult to say, on average getting .8 - .9 with a mixed bag environment.. The 1.2 was a single run going for some yield/gpw and idk if I fucked up or just bad luck, one of the 4x 5gal's I ran ended up with a root issue and only yielded about 1/2 of what the others did. My son recently pulled 1.4 with my Blue Dream cut with 4x 5gal in a 3.5 x 3.5, we basically replicated my environment/methodology, but with 8 lights, he's blowing away his previous hps yields using about 180w more total. He's where I was 20 years ago but indoor, only difference is my father didn't help me setup and give me his prized yielding cuts - lol

I'm a big fan of LEC, i have one, will be buying more. I've not yet done a full grow with only LEC but its in the works.

yep, the ruderalis genes to make the auto lower the potency compared to the same strain in regular photoperiod

not really. just general knowledge. ruderalis aka ditchweed adds the autoflowering part to either the indica or sativa strain. do a quick google search.
