36 hours of darkness before flip?

I’m flipping to flower in 5 days and I’m curious if the 36 hours of darkness is worth it or no just flip ? And if there’s any more tips I should know before flipping to flower please let me know !

personaly i dont do the pre flower darkness, but it might make a differance. wait for other growers who have tried it

So right after ur veg cycle you just switch it to 12/12?

yep, im old school, taught over 30ys ago, and dstill use hps/mh bulbs and i need the heat from yhem, i live in wet n windy wales uk

This is the 1st I have heard of 36 hours of darkness before flip. I have heard of 3 days of darkness before harvest. I admit, I'm a noob, so who knows the answer? When I flipped I didn't do darkness 1st, I just went 12/12 and 2 weeks later, bingo!

They don’t need 36 hours of darkness at flip. Have you ever seen the sun go out for 36 hours?

I’ve seen it almost not go down, never stay down. That was inside the arctic circle but in June. Ok, you ever see it stay dark for 36 hours in Mexico or Thailand?
