Setup:

1 x 90w UFO (1w LED's) Mixed spectrum
1 x 270w LED (3w LED's) Mixed spectrum
1 x 45w Fluoro Tube Blue

22l DWC tub
2 x Airstones
ScrOG

Growing 1 Berry Bomb (by Bomb Seeds).

I brought the 270w LED the other day from a company called Grow Northern, they are UK based (only ship to the UK for now) light arrived within 3 days so I am very pleased with the company so far! Looking forward to see the results from this beast!

Anyway, I had a journal previously for my 250w HPS in the same cab, but I had to chop this grow early due to unforeseen circumstances, so I thought I'd start a new journal with my new lights/upgrades.

Grow just chopped, the root structure was immense, and stained by the nutrients :)

Tweaked my setup a bit to work better with the LED's

Inside cab shots.

Well that's it for now, will be planting my seed in the next few days filling up the res and general prep. Might add a Pineapple Express in a 2 litre soil pot just for the sake of it :)

Stay Frosty!

Thanks for stopping in, should be germing some tasty bitches about Tuesday or Wednesday, just trial running my 24/7 carbon filter, wasn't sure if the fan would be strong enough to eliminate smell so I just stuck a full bag of freshly chopped ganja in there and it seems to be doing the trick :) though it's not quite strong enough to reduce temps so the big extractor needs to be on while the lights run, until I can get a better (smaller/lower powered) fan.

EDIT: Got impatient and stuck a nice fat dark stripy awesome looking seed in yesterday, I can jam it in my car while it's small during my 'unforeseen circumstances' lol so it'll just shave a few days off of my grow :) which is always nice!

Cool I can't wait to see more. I know someone that uses a UFO LED to grow. No heat prob with one. You have a better set up. I want to see how it goes. I want to try a scrog grow. I'll be checking in to see. Good luck

The first; Born in fire.

Germinated a Berry Bomb on Monday, and shes doing beautifully, there's not really much to show yet... or for at least the next week or so, but I thought I'd drop a quick update in here while I remember.

Currently 5 days since planting, so far so good!

Thanks for stopping in XD I'm going to try and keep this grow updated at the worst bi-weekly, depends on work and all that!

Thanks, I was well glad when I figured I could afford the LED's and the cab is now at perfect temps with only a PC fan extracting, I have the big one as backup still wired into the ducting but I haven't had to turn it on yet :)

And that last weed I chopped early is well tasty :D very nice stone as well! I would recommend this strain to anyone.

Killer setup man. I grow with LED also. Only 2nd grow so far, but really have had a good experience with them. I will def be keeping tabs on this one. Love the SCROG design you have going there.

Thanks for stopping by!

Sorry it's been a while just had some problems with the seedling...

The 1st one died in the end sadly, don't know why probably just a dud seed just grew her water leaves and stopped growing.
Anyway, she's been replaced by another who has recently hatched and sprouted so she should be on her way in a week or so for a proper update :)

Stay Frosty!

So far so good dude :) cant wait to see how this grow goes :) ..I used a 90W UFO before ..well 2 and a 150W CFL, and had good results so I am interested to see how well your setup performs - ZTELTHY :leaf:

looks good! however I dont think you got enough room for 3W diodes, as soon as your plants are gonna make it past the screen I have a feeling the light will be too intense

What size LED would be best to replace my 600W HPS? I got a 4x5 flowering area in my 5x12 closet. Best place to buy?

I had this concern to start with but I brought LED's with adjustable optics so I can make them 120* to spread the light better so it shouldn't cause many problems. Also this strain once crowned off doesn't grow much above the screen (too much anyway) so again it should be alright :) maybe some Sativas would be effed but this one should be good... Not the best place to ask, have a look at the LED growers thread (it's stickied in the LED and other lighting section) but I'll try: I'd go for a 400-500w LED, don't listen to the claims that a 90w UFO will replace a 250w HPS and all that crap, get roughly equivalent wattage and you'll get the same if not better results after a few grows with LED, just be warned, there is a lot of crap out there, don't go for the cheapest, and be willing to drop quite a bit of coin on it. LED's are a long term investment :)

Should have a small update this week!

Week something of veg:

Not really been paying attention to the dates but here we are :) sorry it's bee a while for those of you who are following along!

SAM_1466.jpgSAM_1464.jpgSAM_1465.jpg

All there is to say really is, so far so good she's doing well, might be a bit underfed but I just added some extra food to make up for it.

That's it for now, another week or 2 she should be at the screen and scrogging nicely.

Until next time:

Stay Frosty!

looks like your 90 watter is from pro source worldwide, if so he recommends keeping temps around 80-85 with his leds. Ive been doing just that and the plants seem to love it
