4 Bagseeds. Experimental CFL vegging

Decided to put up a pic of my test subjects in the CFL section since that's what I'm using. They were in a rubbermaid but I got tired of working inside a 2'x2' area so now they're sitting on a treadmill, which works fantastic BTW when it comes to expanding. The control panel and side handles provide a great frame to mount nearly anything above the plants. Temporary however...building their new house as soon as I find time.

Heres a full body shot of the sexy chica on the left

Right on, dude! Looking good. I just set up my first CFL grow Nov.30th/Dec.1st. It took me a whole 2 days after I set up one grow area to start setting up a seperate veg area, haha. Now I have a veg box and an area with plenty of room to flower. Just finished doing a lot of work on the room, installed the lighting system in the veg box, as well as installed fans and duct-work on both areas. Looking pretty sweet. Once I get a 2nd timer so the veggies don't have to be on 24 hrs I'll be done. I picked up a couple clones from the club, they were all stretchy and tall, so I threw them into 12/12 yesterday, and have 2 seedlings in my veg box. Like the treadmill idea, but looking forward to seeing your new setup. I have a ton of pic of mine, starting on Dec. 1st, but I'm biding my time to make a thread. I'm more of an outdoor grower, so this whole CFL concept is very experimental to me as well. Anyway, keep us posted on the lil' ones, and as always, keep your thumbs green!

P.S.-How many and what wattage lights are you going to run for those 4 plants? Spectrum?

Well my n00b ass actually sprouted the first two under a single 40w soft white incandescent, then moved them under 2-3x 23w 2700k cfls for 2 weeks and sprouted sexychica with them. Then (after hours of reading everything I could find) switched them to 4x 23w 6500k cfls. Each plant was subjected to different variables (sometime multiple variables at once) which could/would change their growth rate/pattern but I didn't notice any significant change in growth with the light switch.

EDIT: Also added a 42w 6500k cfl last week to hang between the plants

Nice, in flowering, I have 2 plants going. Each one has it's own powerstrip with two 23w 2700k, one 26w 6500k, and they're sharing one 42w 2700k between them. so four 23w 2700k, 2 26w 6500k, and one 42w 2700k for flowering 2 plants, I hope thats enough. I have the veg box set up with two 26w 6500k, but as soon as the sprouts get bigger i'm gonna throw in 2 more 26w 6500k, and one 23w 2700k for a mixed spectrum. It's all good being a noob, thats why we're here, right? Anyways, looking good so far dude, can't wait to see them budding. I'm jealous of your compact growth, I got stretchy clones from the club, thats why I immediately germed some seeds when I got them. In the club, they had the lights like 3 feet away from the plants!!!! Well, I guess they'd rather have people buy their weed, not buy their clones and grow their own...Criminals! lol...Keep up the good work!
