400 watt hps + 250 watt hps in a 4x4x8 room?

I was wondering if its a good idea to put a 400w and 250w hps together in a 4'x4'x8' room with only 4 plants?

the plants will love it. just make shur to have good ventalation cuz heat will deffinatly be an issue ther

I have a 4" inline fan at the top of the room and two small tornado fans at the bottom of the room on the floor. The two bottom fans push air from outside the room into and through to the top and the in line fan sucks all the hot air out. I have this setup going right now with just a 400 watt hps and five plants, Im about to change it up when those five are done. It will be four plants with an extra 250 watt hps and Im vegging the four plants to get about 3' tall. I guess what Im asking is 400 watt + 250 watt = 650 watts, right? This should be cool?

The Temp stays around 70-80 degrees Humidity between 50-65% Not bad?

yup its right in their happy zone. i have a 600w and it does great. 650 wont be realy different but will deffinatly help good luck man! whatcha growin?

I'm getting ready to run a 400W HPS in a 4x4x7 (Sun Hut tent) with 2 6" intake/exhaust fans…*doing some test runs I ran as hot as 85F degrees during the hottest part of the day in my house. Pretty warm… not bad but will decrease as we have cooler nights.

Just curious, how do you have the room to run a 400W & a 250W… are you not use hoods or what? Also, why do you want to run to different lights in the same tent for?

But how are you gonna run the lights to get an nice, even light distribution? I'd probably go for a 600W with Cooltube, although its more of a financial strain. Heat and light distribution would be less of a problem and the canopy penetration is better on a 600, which will help with your trees (3' veg will make an nice tree after stretch).

That's my question, in theory 250watt + 400watt is the same as a 600watt just in two lights instead of one. The spectrum should all be there. The way Im running two lights in such a tight space is they fit. Im a carpenter and I built the room, so I can pretty much fab shit up the way I want and I got a gang of fans to keep it cool. The strain that I picked is white widow and blue dream. Sativas love to get big and can endure the heat plus I love some good old fashioned green bud. Purple is cool but....
