Hey guys, just finished harvesting my serious seeds chronic plant and started a new batch of ladies about a week ago. This is going to be my first grow journal so bear with me. I started off with Day 1 2 and 3 those were really the germination days but i did that so people could get a time frame.
Setup Info:
Grow Room - Sercret Jardin DR100L Grow Tent (3.25 x 3.25 x 6)
Lighting - Pioneer IV Jr (2ft 4 lamp light bank) for Germination. 400 Watt MH Bulb for veg and 400watt HPS for flower in a Sunlight Supply Super Sun 2 Air cooled hood.
Exhaust - 2 EcoPlus 4 Inch Inline fans (160 CFM). 1 Exhausting Air from the hood and 1 exhausting air from the tent.
Air Movement - Inside the tent I have an Ionic Breeze Type Air purifying fan. I also have a small clip fan attatched to the hood moving air directly under the glass of the hood. I also have a 12,000 BTU portable A\C in the room exhausting the room air outside, I also rigged some ducting to run from where the cold air blows out to the inside of my tent.
Environment Info:
Water - Throughout the grow from seedling until harvest I will be using distilled water.
Temperature - Temperatures in my tent stay in the 70's usually between 72 and 75 degrees.
Grow Info:
Grow Medium - Hydroton and Rockwool
Grow Method - DWC (Deep Water Culture) in 5 Gallon Buckets with 6 inch net pots and an air stone in each bucket.
Nutrients - I will be using the Fox Farm Trio for Hydro (Grow Big, Big Bloom, and Tiger Bloom) as well as the fox farm additives for hydro (Open Sesame, Beastie Bloomz, and Cha Ching). I will also be using Sweet and Cal\Mag in this grow, and possibly Superthrive.
Strains - 1 x Nirvana Seeds Auto Bubblelicious, 1 x Nirvana Seeds Auto Jock Horror, 1 x Sagarmtha Seeds Auto Smurfberry, 2 x Dutch Passion Brainstorm. All Seeds are Feminized
Germination:
Day 1 - To get the ladies started I filled 5 16oz party cups up with a little bit of distilled water and put the seeds in the cups, labeled them, and sat them in my linen closet over night with a temp of about 75 degrees.
Day 2 - 24 hrs later and the bubblelicious and jock horror had popped so i placed them into pre soaked (5.5ph'd distilled water) rockwool cubes and into a humidity dome.
Day 3 - 24 hours later the two brainstorm seeds had popped but not the smurfberry. Since it had been two days with no pop i placed the cup with the smurfberry in it on top of my cablebox and within 4 hours it popped. Again those seeds all went into the pre soaked rockwool and into the humidity dome.
Now at this point the jock horror and bubblelicious were "above ground".
Day 4 - 24 hours later all seeds were "above ground" and the jock horror and bubblelicious both had roots coming through the bottom of the rockwool cubes. At this point i switched on my T5 light grid. Running them 18 on \ 6 off.
Seedlings
Day 5 - At this point since the jock horror and bubblelicious both had roots coming through the rockwool I placed them into their final containers. 6 inch net pots with hydroton, in 5 gallon buckets filled with about 3 gallons of distilled water ph'd to 5.5.
Day 6 -This morning i checked the 3 that weren't in buckets for signs of rootage and one of the brainstorm's had a small root coming through the bottom of the rockwool so i stuck her, along with the other brainstorm and smurfberry (neither of them had roots coming through the rockwool yet) into buckets of their own. I changed out the T5 Grid for a 250watt MH this morning as well. All are looking good so far but one of the brainstorm's is very tiny, def a runt.
Day 7 - Not much action today just letting them do the pretty girl rock haha.
Day 8 Current Day -
All were looking beautiful so i switched out the 250watt MH for a 400 watt MH. The light is about 24 inches away from the tops of the plants. Room temps are at 74 degrees.
I only have one pic sized up right now so i threw it up here for you guys to at least get a top view of the little ones. For fun i threw in a pic of the main cola to the serious seeds chronic that i chopped last friday. Hope you guys enjoy the grow. I'll try and update every few days with more pics to come.
