400W 2x3x5 SoG

Hello RIU,

This will be my first post on the forum, but not my first experience with it. I have lurked on all the cannabis forums for years, which is where I've gained most my knowledge on cultivation. I have also been growing for years, and will now contribute and share my experiences.

So without further ado, I would like to present to you my third indoor grow, in which I will be trying a SoG for the first time. (This journal will also include pictures and progress from my last indoor grow, which still has one plant finishing up, and the current outdoor season's grow.)

My set up:
Veg:
2x3x5 closet space
2ft 4 tube T5
4 inch inline exhaust
miscellaneous fans

Flower:
2x3x5 tent
400W HPS
4 inch inline exhaust into Can33 can-filter
miscellaneous fans

I grow 100% organic start to finish, I make my own super soils and brew my teas and even after finish I use only glass, no plastics.

The SoG will consist of 3 strains, Cherry Bomb, The Flav, and Dream Berry. I started with 10 Flav and 10 Dream Berry, all 10 Flav sprouted and 6 Dream Berry sprouted. The Cherry Bomb is a clone from one of the plants in my last grow, very good genetics and high yields, I love this strain so I had to throw one in.

Tight so you started from seed instead of clones for SOG? Prob a stupid question, i'm a newbie so pardon my ignorance.

Drying. I do it as a whole plant for a couple days, then I cut and hang upside down:

I ended up yielding 110 grams off Canna Divine, just short of a QP.

Tigers Breath a week after harvest(didn't get any right before or after)4 nug oz, I yielded 2.25 oz total, it was only an 8 weeker, I went for 9.:

I started with seed because I ended up putting all my clones outdoors end of July as I plan on moving after this SoG and starting with fresh strains for mothers, besides a few solid strains I will get from a buddy. I don't plan on vegging long so I will find out sex soon enough, and I'm not too worried about it either as this is sort of just an experiment.. If I get a terrible turn out maybe I will re veg for a little and grow them bigger.

Labor Day update...
Cherry Bomb is just past 10 weeks and will be coming down soon.. could push her to 12 she is producing fox-tails and white pistils like crazy, but I'm already running dry of the Tigers breath and Canna divine, so I need more smoke until Octobers harvest.

The Flav and the Dream Berry are sprouting up nice and will be entering the flowering tent as the CB exits.

I plan turning my closet grow into two chambers so I can keep mother plant(s) alive and take clones from her while SoG style flowers in separate chamber. So any personal experience and pics are much appreciated.

Sup ya'll, sorry about the wait, I've been pretty busy lately. I'll be coming through with an update later on today.. and its all looking pretty juicy, everything is coming along great.

Alright so here we go..

The Cherry Bomb finished up nicely, I cut her at 11 weeks.

All together I yeilded 140 grams off of the Cherry Bomb, a little over 4.75 oz. She was an awesome plant to grow, which is why I have another in the current run that is looking greaat.

bunch of good flavors in there... harvested one already, Cherry Pie, this strain is one of the dankest ive come across, so many different terps, the flavor is crazy:


and now onto the SoG..

From where I left off they have come a long way, so I will continue from there and show all the steps that have brought them to their present state.
When I last showed them they were about a week away from going into the flowering tent. I chopped the big Cherry Bomb, cleaned the tent, and in they went.
First to go in was the Cherry Bombs clone, it was in there with the big cherry for a couple weeks, so it had a head start on the Flav and Dream berry beans.

a couple weeks later.. this is when the rest went into flower with it.


and then two weeks after they went in I did some maintenance, here they are:

what I did was took them all out (I also do this every watering and re arrange them) and then one by one I cut off the bottom crowded small yielding nodes, sprayed them with actinovate (which I had been doing weekly previsouly in veg, just as a precaution I do this up until about week 2-3 of flower) and then watered them and put them back in.

They are all showing their female parts, I ended up only getting 1 Flav male out of the whole bunch, very good beans, gave an amazing turnout.

And as of tomorrow it will be week 4, and they are pretty much done stretching and are the perfect height, I just gave them their first flowering tea and everything is looking supreme. I am hoping to pull off an Oz per plant with 16 plants and get a pound.
