400w all Organic

Ok so heres my update on my 3 children. I originally had this thread posted in indoor growing but decided to move it to Organics.
Heres my setup:
400w MH with Sylvania bulb
Mexican guano for vegging
Indonesian guano for fllowering
MG Organic Choice soil
3 unknown bagseed,
5 gallon buckets
Air intake and exhaust
One Closet

I mixed my own perlite and peat in with the MG. So far no problems at all with it. NO NATS.

Any advice or tips is greatly appreciated. This is my first closet grow. The two big plants are nearing 4 and a half weeks and the baby 10 days.

When the plants are tall enough to reach the side of buckets I will begin LST. I used UB topping method. Works great!!! Thx UB

How tall are those? Reason I ask they seem pretty small for 4.5 weeks, mine are usually 12-16 inches 4 weeks in, under 400w HPS. Look healthy though.

I would say their about 11 inches. I topped ofcourse so that set me back some on height. Plus some stem got buried during transplant to help support plant some. Thx for the input. They are doing pretty good. The one only has 3 leaves growing per shoot. Whats that mean? Can nobody tell by looking what plants I have? Whether its sativa or indica.

Yo, im going to plant my seeds today [4 bagseeds]. i just got the new 400w mh/hps lights....but back to my question, is it alright to put sand in the bottom of the pot and the rest potting soil ???

I wouldnt, I would just use a good bit of perlite instead. Maybe a inch on bottom of 5 gallon bucket of small rocks too. wash them tho. Sand helps with drainage but perlite is better. Heard sand can cause bug problems too.

not knockin the grow but mg isnt organic...furthest thing form it..they been sued many times over this already. worst soil or product we can use on this....watch the ph

theres no plant food in the soil. Theres worm castings and organic shit like that. I kno its not the best but its working. my plants aren't being burnt and I'm not getting any gnats. My plants are not that small I dont think. They are growing great. They are behind because I had a heat problem and N deficiency earlier on. Thx for the input tho man. Ive heard more people have problems with FFOF more than MG. Maybe thats cuzz no one uses it. IDK.........update coming soon.

Ok so I think my plants are getting stronger and stalkier. Both bigger plants are starting to show signs of preflowers but not enough to show with my shitty camera. Alot of debate over MG soil. I know its not best but Its the kind in brown bag not green. I was told to use this and its ok. The green bag organics is the no no. I think in a couple weeks Im gonna start flowering. What yall think? Can I LST during flowering too? Need some advice as Im now nearing the best part of any grow.....

Your doing fine the plants look great. Don't worry if some else has plants that are taller. Pinching them will slow em down, but it also make for bushes instead of palm trees. With a 400w light it is important to keep the plant budding sites as close to the light and as even as you can so all buds can have access to equal light. So LSTing them is a good idea with a small number, you get more bud in the end even if it takes a week or so longer to veg them and shape them.
Don't sweat it on your soil choice, MG has been used for years, some still swear by it. I think there are better soil mixes myself, but run what ya brung at this point. Since you do not know what type of plants you are growing, figure at least 8 weeks for flowering, and maybe up to 12. Let your plants tell you what they need. Biggest mistakes are too much water/too little, too much nutes/ too little. Go easy on young plants and up the nutes if they handle it. Have fun.........shredder

Oh, and you can tame a run away shoot in early flower by pinching the shoot or bending/training the stem. Once they stop growing up and start packing on buds at around 3 weeks in flower the point becomes mute.....

I was planning on tying the plant that has 4 tops down in a cross shape. One cola this way and one the other and so on. Will this work? Once I tie down, it will still begin growing up again right? I was thinking maybe scrog would be better than LST,,,,any ideas?

The big one has been staked down and begun LST. Pics tomorrow.

Ok so I LST the biggest plant last night and this is the results since then. I also went and bought a ph meter. I need some advice for organic ph levels. Also does a ph meter determine a Nutrient deficiency or no? Any advice????

LST is going good. still looking for advice from experienced LST doers...lol

Ok so heres a quick update on the plants. Also I was pleased to see a lady bug kickin it on my biggest plant. This made my day for some reason....lol

I'm liking this grow. I'm also growing with Organics ( well semi Organic) 65%FFOF 35% sunshine mix LC8, with Alaska fish emulsion 5-1-1 and Alaska Morbloom 0-10-10 and some Humboldt honey. And I'm using a 400w hps. I'm 3 weeks into flowering and my buds are looking STOOPID! It might not be 100% Organic but my plants are going HAM lol! I smoked some Organically grown bud and I love it, its the most tastiest and most pungent bud I have ever smoked! But yea 1 Big toe and 2 thumbs up!

Ill post my pics when I get the hang of this site. Oh yea I almost forgot strain right now is reserve privada Og kush and I have some blue mystic, super cali haze, hymalayan blue diesel ( however you spell it) Onyx and La Blanca all from attitude seeds in the mail. All gonna be organic. I'm gonna get some better organic recipes for the new strains but for now that wat I got.

thx man, it could be better but its the best with what I got. Less than a hundred bux in this grow and bagseed. This is my first indoor grow. After this Im getting some new lighting, better soil, and some other goodies. Attitude seeds ofcourse.
