400w(hps)&400w(CFLS) What uses more NRG

Hi does 400w of (hps) and 400w of (CFLS) use the same electric

For light bulbs the power that is specified is how much power it uses from the wall plug, not how much light is emitted from the bulb. So a 400W hps uses the same amount of power from the wall plug as 400W of CFLs (any other kind of bulb, or combination of bulbs, that total 400W). Efficiency (emitted light intensity for watts used) is another story.
