400w HPS Light Enough?

I was just wondering whether a 400w High Pressure Sodium Light will be enough for 4-5 Northern Souls in my grow room...
And if so, how much heat is going to be produced compared to alternative light sources,
can i get away with a slightly weaker light if so?

Cheers for any advice...

It is enough light for those plants. The heat - kinda depends on the size of your grow space, mine runs in a 8x7x8 room with lots of airflow, and it's around 77F in there when the light is on.
