Hey guys! Thanks for popping in. So I've grown a few times in the past and had some great smoke. Learnt everything off this website from day one! Almost lost my girlfriend cuz I was either with my plants or on this site researching so much haha. So happy to be back at it! :)

So unfortunately, I am living in an apartment for this year. We tried to find a house but it was just too short notice. Next year we are hoping for a little acreage or farm just outside the big city :) we will see how things work out. So in respects of having to live in a 2 bedroom apartment for the year I ordered some stuff off amazon that is more suitable for my situation. My friend has a bunch of random equipment but they are all 1000watts and I wanted to keep my budget down (i.e. not having to purchase a bigger tent or fan/filter etc). So all I'm going to use of his is all his nutrients and one of his 1000watt MH for vegging my mothers. Whether I utilize how fast my mothers are growing possible new clippings isnt a big concern of mine, just want them to get big and monster cropped for next year. What ever I manage to clip flower and harvest I am totally content with.

I have 2 mothers going that are in 18L rubbermaid totes, one is CHEESE and the other is KUSH. 14 cuttings waiting to root from KUSH and one cutting from CHEESE waiting for root.

Equipment I purchased off amazon.ca (already arrived):
-400watt digital with cool tube and hps bulb, 48,000 lumens/2000kelvins
-190cfm exhaust fan and filter combo
-2'x3'x5' grow tent
-50 rapid rooters (love these, 100% cloning rate for me long as I add a heating pad)
-Hydrofarm 10"x20" heating pad
-Fan speed controller
=$430.00
- $135.00 (they refunded me for my light package because I said I never received it, feel like a dick but)
=$295.00

Equipment **waiting for arrival** from amazon.ca:
-Honeywell permanent true Hepa filter, round air purifier with germ reduction.
recommended for rooms 15'x15' = 225 sqft
=$210.00
-Honeywell activated carbon prefilter (replace every 3 months) (not required but extends life of permanent filter and further reduces odors)
=$20.00

Nutrients I have kicking around:

ADVANCED NUTRIENTS:
-Sensi Bloom (A) 2-4-0
-Sensi Bloom (B) 2-4-8
-Sensi Grow A&B ?-?-? (not with me at the moment)
-Mother Earth Grow 4-1-4
-Mother Earth Bloom 3-2.3-5
-Big Bud 0-1-3
-Bud Candy 0.5% magnesium
-Voodoo Juice

PLANTLIFE PRODUCTS - HOLLAND SECRET (futureharvest.com):
-Grow 2-1-7
-Micro 5-0-2
-Bloom 0-6-4

RANDOM *** WHEN DO I USE THESE??***:
-Grotek Pro-Silicate 0-0-3
-Grozyme
-Superthrive
-Liquid Karma 0.1-0.1-0.5

PLEASE CHECK OUT THIS AIR PURIFIER: http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00008OOX2/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Its a permanent HEPA filter that you can easily clean. You can choose to replace the filter if you want after a good 5-10 years depending on how well its been used. Then you can buy activated carbon prefilters to help further with odor reduction and maintaining the life of your permanent filter. The prefilters are suggested to be replaced every 3 months but the prefilters are not needed if you choose. I obviously grabbed one.

I'm OVERLY concerned with stinking up the building. I figured with my 190cfm fan/filter exhausting out my window should do the trick but this is Kush, and I've grown this Kush before and it stank up my whole house (of course that was without a filter and fan but way deep in the corner of the basement in a 3x3x6 tent with only 3 medium size plants) all you had to do was open the screen door and it was like a smack in the face with the main frontdoor still closed infront of u. So why not do overkill and grab an air purifier for the common area of the rest of the apartment. I was also going to grab 2 or 3 500mg Moso Natural Air purifying bags (mosonatural.com) for $22.95 each. They cover 250 sq ft. each and last 2 years. You just lay it out in the sun for an hour every 30 days to reactivate the bag. After the 2 years is up you can even take apart the bag and use it as fertilizer if you really wanted.

COMMENTS?? I'd think I should be good for odor after all this don't you? haha

You ahould be good, but if needed, grab an ozone generator. As it can be harmful to YOUR helth by over using it, i only run mine for maybe 15 min a day around week 5- till finished, set on a timer and for 15-20 minutes if i am expecting company.

It kills any and all smells and continues working for a couple hours after shutting it down as it puts ozone into the air.

The air purifier is beneficial all around where an ozone generator just gets rid of the smell. If i was to pick one or the other Id go with the air purifier, but is it strong enough? For price comparison an ozone generator probably gives u the most bang for ur buck. Id rather not spend an additional $200-$300. So hopefully this air purifier thing does the trick. I like the idea of cleaning the air.

I did find this 2 ozone generators on ebay.. its hard to find good ones on amazon. There are obviously smaller models but turns out they are more expensive by the way ebay goes for the Uvonair brand. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Uvonair-5000...6742699?pt=US_Hydroponics&hash=item417dff12ab

Only lasted me about a year, but makes my whole house smell free in about 20 min, I turn it on twice a day or right before I am expecting anyone.

I dont think they will cancel each other out.

I bought an ozone generator "kit" on ebay for like $60. Was only a few soldering joints and had to make a wood enclosure. Has worked well now for almost a year and a half

Thats dope, good on you man. Im too impatient lol. I just mean if my air purifier is running at the same time as my ozone generator isnt the air purifier stealing the ozone im putting into the air? Im not sure how that all works. Mayb if i just have my air purifier set to turn off when ever my ozone generator turns on

Ok so I've decided to hold off on the ozone generator. The most common comment I got or came across was you just need a good carbon filter and fan and if i exhaust straight outside I shouldnt have a problem. So for overkill i will see how well this Honeywell air purifier works and some "ona-gel" that im going to grab.

So I have roots on my clones!!! :) I will further inspect tomorrow as to if all of them show roots or not. My plan is to grab the remainder of the equipment i need tomorrow at the hydro shop and Rona. Then the next day I will probably bring everything over to my apartment and set up. Im going to throw 12 clones into 3L pots and veg for 2 weeks then start flowering. Do u think they will be ok in this size pot all the way till harvest? The pots are 6" wide and 8" tall so it allows me to fit 12 in a 2'x3'x5' tent. Im trying to fit as many in my tent as possible and keep them small. Im just filling the tent this time but id like to eventually get a cycle going where I harvest 6 plants every month. My only problem with the cycle is i will have to create a seperate drying space. Because I dont have a place to dry i will just have to do it in the tent after harvest, leave the light off but keep the fan/filter going.

If i had that already figured out then id start the cycle now but i took too many clones instead of only taking 6 so i figured i may aswell flower all 12 then my equipment is payed for even if i get a half oz off each plant thats 6oz and even just at $125 an oz I've got $750. So I actually still profit.

Anyone think i can get a 600watt in there? My 1000watt is too hot for the tent obviously but its even too hot for the 5x5 closet i have it in now for my mothers. So im thinking of buying a 600watt dimmable ballast. If it works in the tent then it would obviously be more beneficial for flower and i would use my 400watt for my mothers.
