44 pots to much for my res?

I have the CAP ebb and flow with a 55 gal res, I want to run 44 pots with hydroton. I will vegging for a week with flora nova grow at 2.0 and use the Lucas formula for flower. The res will automatically top with ro water. Will I have problems with my ph fluctuating too much with this many pots on my res? CAP says it can run 60 pots off the res but I've heard that the system doesn't work well with more than 36
