Been reading some people swearing by the 48 hours darkness before cut down.
Anybody think this helps ?

I used to do it. I grew 6 white og a few years back, cut 3 and the other 3 got the dark. Once all was said and done I couldn't tell the difference. Potency, smell, flavor.... all identical. Only difference in the 3 days dark was it took 3 days longer to be ready.....

To say the least, it has a very minimal affect on plants. If you are drying correctly (very slowly) the plant wont even know its been cut down for the first 3-4 days and will get its darkness while hanging upside down.

I’ve been told by many to dry in the dark.. I’m curios if this needs to be uninterrupted darkness or if it’s ok to check on them here and there

A little bit of light from a lamp while checking on them isnt going to hurt anything. Drying under a 1000w HPS would definitely not do them any good.

Lol dont take any advice from someone who does a "7 day dry". Any pro shoots for minimum 10 days but ideally 14.
