Ok so I knw 48 hours or darkness is supposed to make it more potent. What would keeping it in light for 48? Stress her out? Increase yield? Mature plant faster? More cbn?

Neither of two would do any good , how can a plant be made more potent in 48 hours..
If anything stress her out , burn thc, never give the plant to push out new resin the night before cuz there was No night..
If the plant is a yeilder it will do so , if the genetics are good to great she will be dank , there is nothing you can do to change that...
Some forms of training , longer veg time and more light will help with overall yield , and chopping when ripe should give you the most potent bud...
Anything else is a myth , or someone did something to a already dank strain and thinks there from of growing did it..
Good Luck..

if anything that extra light would probably degrade thc thus making your plant less potent. stick to the tried and true:leaf:

24 hrs of darkness prior to harvest will make her believe she's dying and she will produce more frost and catalysts in a last effort to get pollinated. If you have unstable genetics doing this may cause the plant to become a hermie. 48 hrs sounds like too much.

What I do is reduce the hours of lights on to 8 hours from 12 in the last 2 weeks. What happens, in my opinion, is that the plant produces more THC, because of the light change the plant thinks (if that is the right word) that the season is over. I do it, and it really appears to work.

48hrs of light would totally fuck up her hormones like it would any time during flowering, pretty much stopping dead the flowering process and pulling back sharply on thc precursor production. As someone has already said though, 48hr is no time at all, so really you wouldn't notice the difference. Ditto 48hrs dark before harvest.

What I've heard is the whole 48 hours of darkness isn't to make it potent, it's just kind of an extra flush of the nutrients. Without the light to use for energy, the plant uses up the nutes and stuff it has stored in it's leaves and buds to survive, like how when you don't eat your body uses your fat.
