Hi guys,

Today when I woke the plants I discovered some brown patches on the tiny bud leaves on the top of main cola :( Any idea what that might be? You cant see it properly on the pic because my camera cant handle so much light but they are light brownish, kinda like dried but cant tell for sure if they are because the leaves are so small. I kinda hope its heat burn but should I cut the affected leaves off just in case its fungus or something? Is it ok to cut anything off? thx

its prolly just a small deficiency like magnesium, make sure the ph is right, leave it and hope it doesnt get worse.

maybe there was a hotspot on that side of the plant and it burned a little. id lower the ppm a little just to be safe.

Light bleaching? As in lights are too close to plants? I do keep them fairly close, like 10 or so inches(400w hps). Its been 3 days since I noticed that mark and it doesnt get bigger or anything so I think(and hope) it will be ok, I will move the lights a bit further away just in case. But i do have a high pH problem, just not sure how to fix it :/ I ordered both: flowers of sulfur and sulfuric acid but neither has arrived yet and my plants looks worse day by day, is there anything else that I could use? Ive heard of ppl using vinegar or lemon juice but I cant really find any info on how to use it. Any advice on that? Water I use is around 6.0 pH, yet soon after watering my pH meter shows the soil to be around 7, give it 24hrs and its closer to 8! What do I do?

Doesn't look like light bleaching to me.(ive had this more than just the tops get hit by it) Did your plants go up into the light and burn? or like they said hotspot. Sry for dumb ? but peeps usually forget the essentials. Air cooled lights and canopy temp?

400w hps with fan blowing across the bulb, canopy temp never exceeds 26C. Its all irrelevant now though, I had a look at the bulb and lo behold theres a little mark on it, so i guess I somehow must have stuck the plant right into the light :wall:
Not sure how that would have happened just as Im not sure why I didnt think of it first. Guess youre right on ppl forgetting essentials, especially easy for a grow noob.

Thx all for your input guys, any word on lowering the pH? I had the flowers of sulfur delivered today but only now i read that the process of it being turned into acid is a long one :/ I dont think my plants have that much more time sitting in pH 8 soil
