5 gallon soil to 7 gallon soil.. Disturbing the Peace?

Been "cooking" my soil in two 5 gallon pots ( Earth Dust mix) going on week two, and have had a change of heart on pot sizes. Planning on moving/dumping/transferring the dirt to them Grassroots "Living Soil" fabric pots BuidASoil sells. 7 gallon.
living-soil-pot_800x.jpg My question is.... will this disturb the microbiology and fungus that's already been established? I'd go bigger but these will be sitting in my 2x4 tent I have inside.

It will not. And I would get the largest pots you can for that space. Or just get one grass roots 2x4 bed and be done with it.
That would be the cats meow.. I'd have to rethink how to direct the humidifiers output into the tent, but man... endless possibilities there with a 2x4 bed. Interesting.

I'm already trying to sneak in a 4x2 bed... lol .. well, lots of choices, you guys are awesome, thanks for the wonderful ideas. I'll see if I can cancel the order and/or upgrade it.

That's definitely the way to go if you want to try out no-till especially. Any bare tent floor is a waste of space after all. To avoid disturbing any possible biology in the soil you have now, you can just remove the soil from your pots in one piece and lay them inside your new pot without breaking it up or disturbing it. Then just add the new soil over top and around them to your desired soil height.

Well, the 7 gallon pots got here and it was nerve racking transplanting the ladies to say the least. I will say this, these are truly weeds, because the hack job I did, wow, they can survive being ran over by a truck as far as I'm concerned. One wilted really bad and recovered after a couple hours. I dropped the light low so not to stress them out more. (just seemed right, not sure if that really helps) What I did notice though was that the soil was really wet in them 5 gallon pots. I'm clearly overwatering. So I'm thinking of letting it dry out a bit, which is against the keeping the soil wet for organic grow, but...so is overwatering. I'll have to rely on the water meter for now. I almost did purchase that 4x2 today. I know for sure that I will for the next grow. Squeeze some more plants in that tent.

Make sure you have enough perlite in your mix. Drainage is the most important element in not overwatering (imo).
