5 weeks into flowering and red tinged leaves

Hey guys,

I am into my fifth week of flowering, using Earth Juice nutrients along with blackstrap molasses. The leaves on one of the plants has developed a red coloration on two of its leaves. Any idea of the cause?

Also when should I begin to stop adding nutrients, molasses, and then flush?

no offense, but that plant looks to be in great distress. the brown on the leaves look to be a deficiency of some sort. potasium unless i miss my guess. she is also extremely stretched, what kind of light are you using?

You are WAY down the line with the K deficiency, you will wanna flush her completely then hit it with a full range fertilizer, one high in K would be best. as for the stretching you need more light, by the look of it a lot more.

what are the specs for the nutes you were using and what kind of lighting?

No i dont think thats K. Molasses is a wonderful source of potassium and micronutes. But it does look in distress. The red coloration is because it needs Phosphorus. This is a key element in flower. Also i cant tell b/c of the red light, but it seems they are a litlls yellow which is a sign of nitrogen, but also can be a sign of P def in flower. Do you use any nutes?

Sorry im blazed i see you are using earth juice. I would stop using molasses for a while, and flush thouroughly. You may have a lockout or sticky soil(causes excess fungi). Then i would give it a higher dosage of nutes and just watch for burn.

What did you grow them under?? A Candle.... Those are some sickly small plants, lucky to yield a gram from those babys.. No offense though..

a agree k is abundant in molasses but, what if its locked out, it still isnt getting up to the plant. i considered P too but normally P is so easily discernable. especially with a case as far along as this, the large brownish brittle blotches are dead giveaway, and the redish stems as you pointed out. without those blotches i was a little shy of saying P, at this stage they would be quite big. some of those are pretty big but they just dont look like typical P def. blotches. more like late stage K. it could be near complete nute lockout and we are both right. either way i feel like we are kickin a dead cow on this one, that plant is on life support. a point for P is that the yield so far looks to be greatly deminished which could point to less P, but K could do that too. anyway i would flush it thoroughly. and hit it with an all around nut.

Okay guys, I will flush completely and hit it up with some Earth Juice in a little while. As for lighting, I am using 4 T5 24 watt CFL bulbs.
