  • I have 4 plants under CFL that 2 me are looking pretty nice and healthy but after seein other CFL grows on here they seem on the smaller side. . They are bout 3-4 weeks old so i made a bigger light fixture @ work. I got 2 sockets with 2 y sockets adaptors so thats 4 total. on the 2 end light have have the 5000k with lights 2inches from my girls(hopefully) and the 2 center lights are the 2700k also bout 2 inches. they 5000k are 100w and one 2700 is 200w and other is 150w. IS THIS OK 2 HAVE THESE DIFFERENT LIGHT COLORS RIGHT NEXT 2 ONE ANOTHER????

It is fine, and possibly beneficial, to have a mixed spectrum of light but I'd recommend using 75%/25% (6400K/2700K) for veg. and opposite for bloom.

Also for CFLs make sure to use the actual wattage instead of the equivalent.

Agreed on the spectrum. Growth was good but slow on just the 5000k bulbs i had. Added 2 small 2700k bulbs that I had just laying around and they shot up big time! That was enough to convince me. Good Luck.

Yes it is more than ok. Multiple light spectrum's is conducive to vigorous growth, I have a similar setup. Some people say to veg with a high spectrum and flower with low. I plan on using multiple specs. for the whole grow.
