hate vaping myself.. (cig smoker perhaps this is why) I like the pull or drag from the joint-pipe bong.. the vape me me cough more? even those Ecigs.. make me cough.
What I will generally do since I cant take too large of hit in the am is load the bong with ice chips and use a torch lighter to hit small parts of the weed at a time till I get use to it as the day goes on I can take bigger hits

youre getting old, dude. i just got my first vape last month, i like it, but like the bong better. the vape leaves an aftertaste in my throat.That's odd cause I couldn't tell I was taking a hit! this is what I am saying when using ice-bong no hurting.. The vape for me felt like I was sucking a straw and not getting a good hit.
again I like the PULL or DRAG of a joint-cig =-cigar-pipe-bong etc. But I understand the dislike for those who are not smokers.
My fav way is to eat it.. hell gonna be honest it works better last longer..... the only downfall is ya generally cant just pop a bud into the medible and eat. more work involved but... worth it
This means... the vaped weed you have been using can still be made into edibles... and with a LARGE success rate.

my back has been buggered since '89...up until this late winter I have never gotten more than 1-1.5 hrs sleep before waking in pain and adjusting my body position...this past winter I started making and eating honey oil...I now sleep 5-6 hrs straight...as a daily smoker for the past 35 years the effect is minimal on myself as far as getting stoned...but the sleep is glorious!!!!!

i've got you by a few years.
i didn't like vapeing when i first tried back in the 90s but after watching some you tubes, i tried it again and i'm happy.
i'm trying to save my lungs a bit, so in a day, i try to smoke 1/2 in a vape and 1/2 in joints. i like a vape high but i prefer a joint high. they are different. both good but the vape high is a bit cleaner i guess. can't explain it.
be sure to drink water after every few hits to keep things moist in there. i got a sore throat the first few times vaping (i'd do a gram or more) but i wasn't hydrating my throat. now it's all good.
when i first started vaping i was under the impression that if you see the vapor (looks just like smoke) that you were burning it too hot. nope. when you are doing it right, you'll see vapor when you exhale.
don't set your temp too high.

it's annoying that when i'm smoking with someone, they can pack a bong bowl tight and hit it and i can only hit about 1/2 a bowl full these days or i'll lose it.
then again, i've had my fun.
i take smaller hits these days but the reefer is better and i grow it, which makes it even sweeter.

i have about 2 oz of vaped material in a baggie. i tried a joint of it just to see and oddly enough, it got me high. it was a different high than the original genetic but it was a reasonably nice high. if i didn't have any, i'd be very happy to have this stuff. i don't vape it until it's dark brown though. marijuana is a mystery.
i think i'm going to toss it but i'm a pack rat and remember being without
