I was just seeing if i had any replys from my thread i posted last night and just see yours, im interested in doing this. Google 6/12 time machine and read the thread.

Say you vegged for 24 hours for 2 weeks, 14 days and run a 6/12 with a strain that took say 9 weeks to flower.........

9 x 7 = 63 days
18 hours will be the new daytime, so saving 6 hours from every day, 6 x 63 = 378 hours saved
378 divided into 24 = 16 days saved + 14 days veg on 24 hr

in total seed to harvest 61 days i think? let me know if i have calculated wrong

I know some autos can do this that quick but a benefit would be nutes! as autos dont like too much, normal strain would be fine or if you used clones and staggered it......

Marijuana needs around 7 hours of direct sunlight for optimum growth as far as I am aware so yeh, would be interested to see someone doing it. If it's just elecrticity you are looking to save then personally I think I would feel more comfortable just running a low level cfl for the remaining 5 hours while the plants do their thing until darkenss arrives. At the moment I run my lights at 30% less for 30% of the day and have seen no difference. But please for all of us, do an experiment?

I will try as soon as my crop now is done, this is purely for me a quick harvest thing to see the possibilities not fussed with electric. Yield you will lose thats just a fact but how much???. i think i will just do a simple experiment with 2 seeds/clones in a box divided in 2. 12/12 one side and 6/12 the other just with the same small cfl in each with no nutes just to see the difference in yield.
