(600w) OSRAM Plantastar vs. EYE Hortilux ?

I have both, 600w OSRAM Plantastar and a EYE Hortilux 600w (LU600s/htl/en)

I am leaning towards the Plantastar since from what I have seen it has more lumens, info is different from site to site but most rate them at 90,000 to 92,000; while the Hortilux info is consistant at 88,000 lumens.

Just wanted to make sure the Plantastar is the right choice and nobody has had a bad experience. Either would be in a cool tube, for an ebb table (2x4) with 6 plants in an slightly over sized room.

I use lumatek for my 600...its really open for debate as to which is best until someone does an unbiased test of different bulbs. Go with what fits your wallet I say.

Thanks MedHead,
Both fit the wallet, I actually already have both, just wondering which one to screw in if anyone has had experience with either one

If you own a lumatek get the cheapest bulb you can get with proper light spectrum. Lumateks just burn through most HPS bulbs. In all honesty only a few companies make HPS bulbs. Most are just rebranded. Only so many manufacturers can make one type of product. It doesn't make sense to build a factory for a product when 3 or 4 companies are already in the manufacturing game. Thats why most companies just buy the bulbs in bulk and rebrand them as their own. Kind of like why most Sony LED tvs use either Sharp or LG LED screens (sony just designs the computer and software of the TV).

In any case, Hortilux for sure makes their own bulbs to their own specs. They really are the best bulb out there in terms of light spectrum. They're made just for plant growth and have no other industrial purpose. They're owned by some crazy larger Japanese custom light manufacturer (i.e. they build the bulbs for football stadiums and giant sky scrapers). While eyes/hortilux bulbs are excellent bulbs they just don't last very long in Lumateks. They just don't mesh well (some people have problems with them and others don't). In one of my ballasts my hortilux works great, in the other it flickers and rings at startup till it's warmed up. Like I said, save yourself some money and just buy an HPS in the correct light spectrum and you'll get damn near similar results.
