60ow hps or 400w mh

I need to veg some plants and I have a 600 and a 400 available. The 400 is too small to cover the area I need covered sufficiently. This is only to grow mothers under. Is it better to use the MH or to use the 600w HPS because it produces more usable light?

U always will want to veg under mh vs hps. Hps will make ur plants strecthy and grow really fast not good for a mother plant figure a 400 will cover a 4 by 4 ft area or 4 to 6 plants and a 600 is 6 by 6ft area and maybe up to ten plants
