67% RH in jar

So I have put my dried buds on jar and I noticed that the Rh was at 69% after a couple of hours. I opened the jar and let it vent for 2 hours. Now it's at 67%.

Should I take my buds out of the jar and dry it or just leave it open over night?

Unfortunately I need to order them online and they won't be here before Monday.

I've left my buds out over night and now they're in the jars with the lid open. I hope they'll be fine while I'm a work. The rh was at 66% in the jar with the lid open. Should I worry about mold?

I left them in the jar with the lid open while i was at work and when i got back the humidity was at 69%. I took them out and laid them on my table for two hours and put them back in the jar. Now after an hour or so the the humidity is at 62% which is the sweet spot, as far as i know. :) And no mold yet :D

At 65% and below the chances of mold are slim to none. Don't freak and over dry them too fast. Get the boveda packs it makes life easy. Unless I set timers to remind me I was known to open jars and forget about them. I only dry for about three days, I live in a dry climate. Once I jar them it takes about 3-4 hours and the rh is in the 90's. They get dumped on newspaper for about 4 hours, then back in to jars. This will happen for a couple days until I'm around 70% rh. Then I slow it down and soon come the boveda packs.

Sounds like you jarred them too soon.

I suggest you take them out o the jar and put them into a thick paper bag for 3-5 days, than jar and check RH after 12-24 hours

Shoot for 62-65, drop in Bovedas and wait 2 months for minimum cure That is if you want a most tasty experience. A lot of people can taste the chlorophyll when smoked too soon

You are close ... Couple of BOVEDA or INTEGRA packs and you are set.
If not , burp in a couple days ... Stir buds around ( chopstick ,)

I bottled at 69% and no issues .... Packs will stabilize jars ...

It also depends on the climate wether u need to use 62 or 67 etc etc

I don't like boveda packs, I thought they made my weed wayyy too spongy. I like the buds to be crispy upon breaking up, but sticky and sticks together after grinding. I live in a dry climate and will lay my buds out on magazines every day for 5 to 10 minutes then back in the jar. Do this until I obtain the crispy feel then longer aging. I probably jar up a little sooner than most. My stems still bend when I put them in. Also depends how much you fill the jars in curing. I like between 3/4 and halfway depending. There's an art to curing and boveda packs just don't cut it for me. The buds with boveda remind me of uncured vacuum sealed buds that just become spongy and unappealing after a long time in the bag with no burp

My friend at the grow shop said he'd had reports from people regarding discoloration on areas of buds in direct contact with Boveda packs, so I bend the corners down just enough to allow them to kind of hang in the neck of the jar, thereby minimizing any direct contact.

I ended up not using the boveda packs. I've been burping every day the past two weeks and my rh is stable at 62%.

My plan now is to burp two times a week for two weeks. After that I hope it's safe for long term storage.
What do you guys think?

I would burp every once and a while after that. If the cure hasn't stopped gases are still building up. It's not a bad thing I've found my weed just keeps getting better for months.

I had the same problem. I switched to 58% packs. It's better for me.

I agree, i think the 58% is much better suited for my liking and will be switching to those. The 62 seems just a tad to spongy as stated previously.
