7200 lumens enough for one plant?

Hi Im running two 2600 and 1 2000 lumen cfls. Im only growing one plant and it is one week old. Is this enough lumens for this stage? I have the 2000 lumen over the plant and the two 2600 lumen on either side.

That's plenty for your seedling. They should be 5-6 inches away but by the 2nd week you should move them within 1-2 inches. Also, those lumen rating are at the bulb, so when you factor in the distance from the bulb to your canopy you're not getting nearly the lumens you think. For flower you want 8000 lumens or more ON the canopy. This is hard to accomplish for CFL growers.

Just to start off lumens aren't technically additive. It doesn't really work this way but to keep it simple this general rule of thumb is a good guideline.

basically you are shooting for somewhere between eight and ten thousand lumens per square foot. Just to give you a rough idea the three bulbs that you have would be about acceptable for a small computer case grow.

It's all relative :)

TLDR: Get more light in there.
