90f plus in my grow room

so i started my plants 48 hours ago and so far everythings been fine 17 of my 21 plants are showing and look to be doing well, but after getting a thermometre to day i keep getting readings 0f 91 to 93f, now i have to 4 inch carbon filters, 2 fans, a great air circulation, when im inside the makeshift tent it feels like a nice summer breeze, so whats the crack guys? are these temps gonna affect my babys?

Yes thats too hot.
Something is up with your intake outake system.
Either figure out a way to cool it better,Find a cheap cool tube or a smaller light or simply stop growing because 90 plus wont be worth your while.

How are u using two filters?

I agree with toron...that's way too hot. Pictures of your setup would be a big help. Are you forcing the air out of the tent? Peace

TOO hot? A ton of pot is grown in HOT places like in Thailand and Mexico, 72-78 is a nice temp but not a make or break deal. I have grown in the 90-100 before BUT I would try like hell to get your temps down. IF you can’t, you can’t, they should still grow and produce there is no way 90 is a deal breaker and not worth your while.

^ 90 is totally different in a tropical place like thailand or anywhere else when compared to a grow tent.

If someone is just setting up a grow tent inside their house they should certainly be able to get the temp under 90 degrees.
Sometimes certain strains can survive and still produce but the majority will not flourish.
I am a person that believes if your going to do something do it right so i would rather recommend the person dial in the tent then simply settle because it should be ok.

The truth is without knowing alot more about the complete setup no one should be saying anything at all. But i figured for a start the honest truth is simply yes 90 is too hot

Right guys my set up is 2 x 600w 2 x carbon filters 4inch two fans. Now i turned one of my lights off last night so now i have 1 600w going and the temps dropped to 84. But ive had to make vent holes in the side of my black and white and i keep the self made door open. The air feels good in there even with 2 600w its just the temps. Now i live in the uk. Its usally really cold at this time of year but its still quite warm outside. My thought was to veg under the 600w at 84, hopefully in the next few weeks the outiside temp will drop alot cause my plan was to have 3 x 600w i planted 21 but im only keeping the best 12. But at this rate until i sort something its gonna have to be one. Now the air flow through the ductd feel quite cool like a luke warm air. I cant understand why its getting so hot. Im a total newb to this everything ive learned is from the internet so be warned my set up aint nowt special lol

Ok so u have two fans with 4" carbon filter exhausting

What size are the fans bringing in the cool air?

I cant really get an idea of how big that tent is but 2 600's in a tent is going to make a ton of heat regardless of the outside temp.

I was always told the air in fans should be bringing in more cool air then your exhaust should be pushing out hot air.

Hate to tell you but you need 8 inch fans for 1200watts.
Anything more than 600w will require air conditioning if your at 90 now ac will drop it to 82 add cool hoods you'll be at 77 if your ambient temp is 70.
You have to suck your hot air out a window or air duct out of the grow room.
Pull cool ac or fresh air from window in your room.

And for the record you are wasting alot of money even running 1 of those 600's for those seedlings.

I would hang two t5's over those and shut down the heat generators for at least a couple weeks.

Those seedlings are nowhere near ready to accept that much light with no foliage or root system

Right the tents about 4 ft tall. 6ft in length 3ft in width. I have two 4'' carbon filters. Im only using a cheap thermom. Woulf that make a difference and how do u think my plants look. Or can u not really tell at this stage?

On the light part ill have to disagree as my friend started with 3 x 600w and planted his seeds in 12 litre tubs. And just cropped at 4 z a plant. Plus i only planted mine less than 48 hours ago and they all seem to be growing nice

cheers guys i think im just gonna leave em on veg with the 1 600w. The temps are now between 82 and 84. Ill take into account everything and maybe invest in a air con unit.. its abit crappy that there is an attic with no type of heating. It gets so cold up there in the winter time..lets hope it drops the temps a little cause ive had to make holes and losen the walls up. Which make it look scruffy

A plant in veg requires 2500 lumens per square foot a seedling only 500 lumens. You have over 80000 lumens at 600watts.

If your tent is 3x6 then you won't need a second light in till you start to flower. If temps stay high expect more males than females I don't see 12 girls in that kind of heat stress during week 3 and 4 of seedlings life cooler temp makes more females.


Why did you make the tent only 4 feet high!!!!!!!!!! if your growing 12 plants now they can only be 24 inches total your not going to have any room to keep the lights a safe distance from your plants

I changed my mind use all 3 600 watt lights I hope you burn down your attic.

Stealing power and growing for fun don't mix together. Pay for your electricity or pay the consequences just because it's not on your bill doesn't mean they can't catch you using the power.

So my plans of 3 x 600w is a no no? even if i can keep the temps down? Mind u tbh id rarther have a small yield of quality than a big yield of shit. Lol its actually stressing me out now lol

I was just trying to save u on your hydro bill and head ache for now.

Until the seedling has a couple sets of leaves it cant process all the light your throwing at it so most of it is wasted.
If you used t5's for now they would grow just as fast as the 600's if not faster and no chance of being burnt.

As for 3 600's in that tent hells no.
I wouldnt even try to cool 2 of them in there.

1 is more than enough to flower that tent.

Ok so now ive got the temp to drop at to 78. Got alot of ventalation going up there. Under the black and white plastic i have about 5 layers of space blankets. The ones that trap body heat if your cold at a festival. Maybe that has something to do with the high temps? Theres no walls in my attic my tents stuck to beams so i figures just black n white might be a little cold. Maybe i should cut the space blankets off. I really wanna have at least 2 lights in there.

As for my elec bill..i dont pay for my grow room..my friend fitted a special box so that i dont get charged for that room. So am i damaging the plants with all that light or am i just wasting the light..its a horrible space to work in. But i suppose its all learning. Its not like im doing it for money, altho i will save a hell of alot of money if i dont have to buy it

You really think i had a choice about the height, im doing what i can on my first time, u want me to worry about unpaid usage of lights that have never been used in the property before, also im growing there im sure it'd look 10x more suspicious when the elctric bill shoots through the roof. Ive manged to get my temps down, and it seems to be okay now. But hoping i burn my attic down thats just sad, youd expect to hear that kind of shit on facebook not on here.
