A Couple of direct to soil question

I plan to plant Direct to the final container, a 5g bucket once my seeds are sprouted, I will be using a Mars Hydro 150 watt LED light, How far above the seedlings should I have the light? Also, it has a Dimmer dial, What percentage on the Dimmer should I set the light to for the seedlings until they have true leaves?

Is it an auto? If photo it’s best to up pot and establish a better root system.

Someone can chime in on the light distance as I’m not familiar with that light

Yes I will be starting with Autos until im comforable with the process.
They are actually trickier than photoperiods to grow.

Reasons being the vegetation period is limited, any mishaps and the plant size/yield will suffer. Photoperiods you can get healthy again before flipping to flower.

Also the change in requirements can throw one off as the transition to flower is automatic.

During flowering if the lighting is 20/4 they are exposed to 80% more light than photoperiods (12/12). You need to either dim the light slightly or raise it. 18/6 is another possibility but again be careful not to fry them. First signs are yellowing fan leaves towards to top of the plant

Rough Idea on the Dimmer settings for seedlings? Do i go to 100% as soon as I see true leaves or do I wait? How high should the light be above the seedlings? Sorry for so many questions, first grow and I want to get it right.

Tbh off the top of my head and limited LED knowledge I’d stick it 2ft above the tops 75% power. Then after a week or so go 100%. Could do 100% to start but just saves a little money

Think seedlings get blasted by the sun from day 1.

Just remember you may get it right but chances are something will go amiss. Growing in my experience is all about learning from your mistakes. Enjoy the journey! Home grown is the best

I haven't actually started yet, But have been learning ahead of time.

Get the phone app called Photone. Here are some PAR settings I saved from studying.
