a couple stinky questions..

Hey All,

I'm Victor, a new member on here. I'm a couple weeks into my first grow in over 10 years...so I'm not really a beginner, but there are a lot of things I need to brush up on and a few things on the market that are totally new to me lol. Anyway my questions are:

A) I have a small tent and don't have room for a carbon filter at the top of the tent, so should I either put it inside the tent at the bottom pulling stinky air out OR should I place the filter outside the tent and have a fan pusing the stinky air through the filter?

B) will a small hepa air filter inside the tent do any good to clean the air of mold and mildew spores so I won't have to worry as much about those problems?

Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED! especially on the hepa air purifier...thanks in advance! and remember VOTE FOR BERNIE!

• I don't see why you can't push instead of pull the air through it. Prolly need to take the pre off tho.
• If I did that would be a room full of dust for a day that smells great.

• I wouldn't be over worried about Fungus and Molds unless you have a humid space 50%+ or have mold issues around the space in/takes flows.
• Conditions must be met for the life forms to propagate. (fans and exhaust counter this)
• However in Theory the Hepa's should filter out anything down to .5 or maybe .1 micron.

P.S I'd vote for Barney the Dinosaur if he would repeal anti cannabis laws

The filters are designed for air to be pulled inside the tent through the filter, not to be pushed through with it on the outside. Not saying it wont work one bit, but in term of efficiency and true odor protection, you want it inside the tent pulling.

Pull air through the filter, have it at the top of your tent, drawn passive air in from the bottom vents and no need for that filter.

yea I know theoretically it should be pulled thru, but space is a major issue in my tent..especially at the top, my light fixture takes most of that space...
but theoretically if I have the fan exhausting air from the top and connect the prefilter there, then connect some ducting to another fan then the filter outside of the tent wouldn't that be technically the same?

that's what I was thinking and I could put the prefilter inside the tent for the dust...

the hepa, ehh was just an idea...

and it was actually 20 years ago, late 90s now that I think of it. sheets way ahead fro. then lol..

and I totally agree with u about barney the dinosaur dude lmfaoooo!!

I have seen some put a pre-filter inside the carbon filter. That changes the surface area for the air to go through and probably the back pressure a little when you run it backwards. I think you're better off running it the normal way.

I have a 2x2 tent and I am making a filter that will be about 6 in diameter x 20 inches long when done and ill just hang it and mount it out the top side back 4 inch hole and mount the fan on the wall outside, but yeah things are tight in small area's.
