i havnt had any trouble with bare root trees yet but in not sure i saw it mention if they are bare root or not i imagine they are concidering they are 1 foot tall but ya never know i have seen em that small in little boxes full of dirt but for a 10 dollar investment i dont see any reason not to do it.... last spring i planted a corckscreww willow and a contorted filbert both bare root and both rockin along nicely.. as for your lost trees im srry. did you plant em at the right time of year and mulch em and keep em watered... mulching around em really helps i usually mix in som compost with the native dirt that came out of the hole other than that im not sure why your trees didnt make itDang! Ten free trees? Wowee. I wonder if they have someone who'd come and dig the holes for 'em? I wonder if they're bare root, I didn't have such good luck with any of my bare root plantings (lost all but three, actually).
i was so excited last night when i found it 10 trees 10 dollar subscription and you get discounts on other trees seems good to me they also break it down environmentaly to give an example of how much polution they will counter and how much oxygen they produce ectI screwed it up, ordering bare roots without really knowing what I was doing. But I like that I don't have to dig such a deep hole, because I haven't got one of those mechanized augers and that'd be sweet with our rocky clay that poses as soil.
Good find, tt!
