I found on this forums a suggestion and researched and followed it through, I must say without spending $50+ on a digital humidifier the Crane Affordable Series Specifically the Penguin model puts out A LOT of cool mist.
Before I was running several prototype grow room humidifiers. The first was a vicks cool mist model that shot the mist directly vertical. This raised to about 35% and had me worrying about the bulb burning out.
I switched to a mistless humidifier by vicks and then a warm mist humidifier by some company I cannot remember and they both failed to keep it above 30%. This is a 3' x 3' x 12' plastic'd off closet.
The Crane Penguin not only kills thes units by keeping the humidity at a awesome 45% with the machine only on halfway, full produced 60% easily.
I know someone already gave this unit praise and by all means all credit goes to him for my reconfirmation. I just wanted to post as it is a very cheap way to gain correct humidity levels on small-medium applications. All specs on the unit say 1 gallon but it is actually 2.1, just a little FYI the company isnt too bright when it comes to packaging but they made one heck of a childs humidifier.
