Is there an accurate Android light meter app?
What reading is considered good to very good light?

When metering light the distance to/from the source is an important factor.

My first light meter was a photo resistor from an exterior light fixture and a digital ohms meter. I had to check various new bulbs and old bulbs to get a bearing on what this thing was saying:)

I've used 2-3 free apps. Search for "lux" in the store. The problem is that my phone's light sensor seems directional, more sensitive to the sides. I'm planning on getting a Dr. Meter. It has a diffusion dome over the sensor. They're inexpensive on Amazon.

Lux isn't a good measurement because it depends on the spectral quality of the light. One person might need 12000. Another 8000. It's not cross comparable. But, could be useful for your own uses.
