a new room within a new room

I want to do this right with long term plans to expand and grow. Ultimately my goal with the grow room is to become a registered caregiver and be capable of growing various strains to fit my clients needs. In my state.

My interest in mmj was sparked seeking out the right strains to battle my epilepsy. After finding a strain with higher cbd content, I was able to spot the positive effects immediately. I'm excited that there is finally a trend in states to legislate right to access laws.

Okay ...In the beginning there was
a dirt floor basement with humidity issues.

the basement is loaded with junk from my work, my tools, storage of fish tanks, lots of building supplies ect.

the floor is dirt and that will not do. I've been scratching my head for years on a way I could concrete it over and still be able to store stuff down there. I figured it out after contemplating a grow room.
I mentioned to my wife the fact I was framing up a couple walls downstairs, poring the floor in that room with a direct vent to the outside all ready in place to draw the moisture out. .She loves the idea.
At the same time I believe she recognizes what my plans are...In our home alot goes unspoken, and she will never say anything to avoid the issue of legality altogether. She doesnt known a thing.....other than the benefits of mmj:peace:

So I have cleared a 10x10 area. I will be digging a level path to set a double bottom plate of pressure treated 2x4, frame the walls up, and pore that floor next weekend.
Note- we switched off our furnace last year and fired up a monitor type oil heater. The wattage for our power has decreased dramatically in that same period. My power bills have always been high because my hobbies is marine saltwater reef tanks. The economy has played a roll in the down sizing of my systems...hence a lower power bill again.

I want to start my grow room knowing what my wattage use will be to the dollar.
I have decided to look at a 600watt fixture
some type of 6" vortex.
a carbon scrubber
the walls will be drywall draped with sun blankets
a dehumidifier and a environment control panel

I'm leaning toward plushberry kush if I can get the seed

sounds good, and 600W do give you the most light for the buck, so to speak, in your space you could actually use two side by side and cover 8x8 will even leave you with room to work with, I would advice you to look for some quality ballast that can run both MH and HPS ..

and a cool hood of some kind is a good investment not only for heat control but also so you can move the light close to the plants for better penetration, as that is the biggest down side of indoor growing along with pot`s

or, and this is how I would do it, make two rooms, one veg room and a flowering room and harvest every seccon month, each could be 5x5 and in the veg room you could keep a mother or two to take clones from, to veg and get ready for the flowering room at harvest time and aso aso aso aso.

use some T5HO or big CLFs in the Veg room and a 600W HPS in the flowering room, give you 8-9 weeks with Kush/Indica plants to clone and Veg in, make a kind of SoG and grow 9 plants under the HPS ..

but thats just me and how I would do it ..
