A pair of weeds

So I have started the magical process of growing...

originally I bought one 90W LED light for my other herbs, thyme, basil... but soon I realised i must grow more potent and useful herbs... After collecting my LED i found that that had shipped two of them instead (someone will be losing their job) and so I took this as my call to go forward.

The grow space is a small cupboard hanging both the lights, and both babies have been growing for around a week.

The bigger seedlings leaves are slightly droopy and the bigger leaves curl under themselves a little, It looks normal but I have a feeling its a hidden sign of near death or something like that. So feel free to post as to what you think this is...

they look ok , just ph the water your using and go lightly on nutes after a week or 2 ...keep an eye on them .. they will surprize you

Ok, so a little update here, the larger seedlings cotyledons are receding away and i'm now considering watering in a minute dose of high N nutrients. What do you guys think?

they are going great so far, i'm expecting to start de flower period around the start of december.

now i am two weeks in for the larger plant and the other a few days behind. looking great so far and they are growing exponentially faster every day.

they will need some nutrient feed tommorow, i can sense they are hungry

Nearly 3 weeks in now... an interesting update.

getting bigger still, the smaller one has mutated into a 3 branch per node rather than two, and 2 of it's leaves grew as one, will be interesting to see if any other changes happen.

i also added an oscillating fan fan as it was getting a bit hot in there, they should appreciate it.

thanks for the comments finshaggy tellno1 and Sativus....

there is already a definite smell coming from them, in a sealed space over night it will smell leafy, and slightly skunky mintness.

have had no problems so far, I am very pleased with the progress I have had, if this goes well it'll be a great incentive to do something bigger.

right now they are being fed miracle grow nutrients 24-8-16 at 1/4 strength, they still have 2 weeks left of veg.

one week left to go, they are looking great!

the more sativa one got a little underwatered and the bottom leaves yellowed, but it was easily fixed....



this ones looking more indica at the moment...






they are such healthy babies, i take them to bed with me sometimes too!

Flowering 3 days


The sativa one already had small preflowers before the light change so I am expecting that one to flower faster, they are looking much bigger again... although I am getting a little concerned about height, I still have 8 weeks or so to go and over half the height of the cupboard is being taken up...

the short one is as short as ever, looks very bushy though.


i am also confused with the taller plants growth, the growth coming out from the top is perfectly formed and looks great, but some of the side growth is strange, they may droop a little, and the leaf margins pont right down. im not really concerned but it does look a bit weird

How long till you start flower?

They're gettin there...
During flower they'll gain another 6-18 inches in height

FLOWERING DAY 14

The short bushy one is a male, i have trimmed him down but im still gonna watch him grow first.

The other is a female and getting quite big, still waiting for some buds to show up but it is early yet....
I may need to repot the female also, her leaves are getting pretty weird now and i think it is the pH of the water, too high

FLOWERING DAY 37

5 weeks of 12-12.... alot has happened since the last updated, buds are really developing now.
one bud was pollinated and has the most crystals on right now. i should have posted again earlier but
i think this shows a big growth increase in the jump.

hope you like the progress! please comment / advice.

what kind of bud size increase will i be looking at for the next five weeks? im putting in 1.5 ml bioGrow per 2 litre water.
they already smell great too. any advice appreciated.
