a theory - spidermites & heat. What do you think?

Well, I am done flowering and my plants ended up with some mites right at the end. No webs on the nugs.
I have cut & hung plants upside down in my dark room to dry. It seems that the mites are moving up the hangers to the rods. Im guessing to find warmer air trapped high in the room.
What im thinking ; Was to put a "hand/pocket warmer" above the rod to draw as many bugs as possible away from the plants. I thought it sounded logical, even if it just draws a few more off.
I hate these little fuckers.

checked it out, but saw nothing about spidermites.
Have you used it with success ?
And which product did you use since they have a dozen or so ?
Ive used neem oil with success before. Just got a little sloppy with some grape ape clones a friend brought me. Ive found a spray that says its ok for fruits & vegetables right up til harvest. But now the plants are hanging & drying, I dont want to spray anything.
Therefore, a "heat lure".

i'm pretty sure the reason that they are crawling up to the rods is they are not looking for heat but looking for new, growing plant material to eat... this is why the tanglefoot works so well i believe, because they crawl out of your buds and will hit the tanglefoot and die... this will keep these bastards from finding their way to your next crop...

I see says the blindman. but which tanglefoot ? for crawling pests ?

Its in one of Jorge Cervantes videos, forget which one. When you chop your plants and hang em to dry, the mites abandon ship. I can't say anything of your "heat pad to draw them out" theory.

well, they seem to like the heat pads. Pads were covered with what looked like little ant trails and they were busy building there webs there until they were wiped out. Next pad please.
