Howdy. My plants are at about Day 30 and 28 of veg. So I am thinking they are ready for flowering. I could be wrong, if so, please tell me!

Anyway. Im thinking of running the 12/12 from 7pm until 7am. This way there is less heat as it wont be hot outside.

Ive been running 18/6. Think is, the lights just went off (was doing 7am - 1am) and will be back on tomorrow at 7am. IF I decide to start flowering tomorrow, what should I do? Should I just leave my lights on for a full day or well, I dont know. Was thinking that once 7am comes around I would just let the lights stay on until 8am the next morning, then they could shut off and begin 12/12.

All help is greatly appreciated!

you should wait at least 2 months unless theres space constraints just set your timers for 7am to 7pm that way it's more natural

Listen to the guys (or girls, dont want to offend) all solid advice. But think whats best for you and your schedual, you will want the lights on when your at home so you can get in there to do work, but if you have a true green light you can use this to work in your room during dark periods.
For maximum yield veg the plant for as long as poss. Remember some strains will double in size while flowering so make allowancies for the extra growth.
You can veg now if your in a rush for bud but it would be worth your while to wait, patience is the name of the game.

Personally I have no space restrictions, unless I grow a monster over 8ft tall, but I veg for 8 weeks min, could go longer but it works out that I run out of bud just as my new babies are ready.

So you have many options for veg times and light scheduals, just pick whats best for you.

Thanks peoples. Great replies.

I was only asking because several people had told me I needed to start flowering. I had thought I needed to wait longer myself.

Ive got 2 Snow Whites growing (journal in sig). One is on Day 38, other on Day 30.

Growing in a 36x20x64 tent with a 400w HPS. So my space is pretty restricted. With the lights as high as they will go, I am left with about 46inches of space before the plants would be on the light. The pots I am using are only about 8in tall (from very bottom to very top of pot). So overall my plants can get about 40inches tall, maybe a little taller if I learn some good growing methods.

The Day 38 plant is 16inches tall, and Day 30 plant is 9 inches tall.

I had read a little about it. This being my first grow tho, I am scared to do anything. Afraid I will screw things up.

Good strategy. Start simple and learn, learn, learn. Experience is the best teacher. Best of luck my friend.

usually twice to 3x there size before flowering is induced. some only stretch a little. its up to you to determine when you think your plants are ready.
