I am planning a hydro closet grow. This is what's in my cart currently:
- 27"x27"x63" MARS HYDRO grow tent
- BloomGrow 4'' Inline Fan Carbon Filter Ducting Combo + Fan Speed Controller + 24 Hour Timer Outlet+Thermometer Ventilation System
- ViparSpectra 300w Full spectrum LED light
- 6" clip fan
- (2) HTGSupply 3.5 gallon bubble boy bucket
- 2 LBS Cz Expanded Clay Pebbles
- Rapid Rooters
- FoxFarm Big Bloom, Grow Big & Tiger Bloom Liquid Fertilizer Nutrient Trio Hydro-Formula
- PH Up and PH Down
- PH and TDS Water Tester

- HydroGuard
- Femenized seeds
Am i missing anything? My plan is to grow 2 medium sized plants. Do u think I can do 3 plants in that space or is it too small? Thank you! :)

That's the tallest I can go that would fit. Would it be too short?
Nope, because your plant size is going to be quite limited by the size of your buckets.

With those 3.5 gal buckets, you wont want to let them grow much more than a foot or two tall. Youll want to run a very short veg. Just a couple weeks before you flip them.
I run 3.5s in my veg tent and the roots fill them up very quickly. By the end of a month long veg ive had the roots fill out the bucket so tightly, it stopped water flow.

Agreed.
If that's the max headroom you can work with, I'd strongly suggest using a strip light type fixture that will allow you to run it closer to the canopy.
Even then, anything over a couple of feet tall is going to get pretty cramped.
Can it work? Of course
Will it be ideal? Not really.

Since it's in a closet, can you take out the shelf and bar.? I had to do that when i decided to use one of mine.. Keeping the plant height down in a 5 foot tent would be a difficult task, even for an inexperienced grower.. if you don't go 12/12 from the get go, you'll need to explore the various ways of keeping the plant short by pruning and tying down till 12/12.. That said, we can only use the space available, it's been done in less space.. I agree that an upgrade on the light would be a good idea if you can afford it.

If that is all you can do for height you may want to consider cloning. Run a mother plant until she is maxed out in your room. Clone her then do a SOG grow. Plants will be small but your yield will be better and won’t worry about running out of room. You will need a humidifier and dehumidifier also. Honestly, if it was me I wouldn’t even do that grow tent. If you can’t do at least a 3x3x72 it’s not really a good game plan to start. This is the one I am currently on. It vegged for 5 weeks, that’s not long. She has been in flower for two weeks. All growth above the net is in last two weeks. That is a 3x3x72 and my next grow will be a 4x7x8. If you do roll with your Grow tent your yields will be very small and ounce or two at most just due to time constraints.FA1A3088-8118-459F-A28E-D532887B1DB0.jpeg
