AC in grow room?

i need to add more fans or an AC to bring down temps but im debating on getting an AC just because in the summer it can get extremely hot and humid here. the problem is i grow in my bedroom closet and to vent the AC i would have to cut a hole into the closet or leave the doors open ( can't do either )

so my plan is to just run the ac with no vent hose. basically i'd be venting the hot air in the room kinda defeats the purpose but should drop temps a little im sure.

what are your thoughts on this? i mean right now temps are fine but when it comes to flowering it will be way too hot. temps in the norm during the day would be 85F easily right now it's already 80-83F but usually it drops to around 79 and lower.

i can run a fan but figure AC would do a better job plus when it does get summer time and super hot then yea i can at least benefit from the AC more.

All you will do is add heat if you don't vent the AC. AC works by moving heat from inside to outside and the energy it consumes comes with some extra heat.

Are you upstairs? Can you vent the heat into the attic? Not ideal, especially in the winter when condensation can occur in the attic and thus black mold. In the summer it shouldn't pose an issue if you vented the heat up thru the ceiling. If you do save the piece of sheet rock you cut out of the ceiling for patching the hole later.

no i live downstairs it's just that our house is extremely.. fucking hot plus we deal with high humidity all year round as well. if that is the case i think i will just opt for a fan instead. i have this ghetto shed right outside my bedroom that my grandpa built as well i think it blocks a lot of wind/air flow because my room is probably one of the hottest in the house. doesn';t help that nobody likes to open up the damn windows either. i am just trying to drop it by maybe 10-20degree's night time won't be a major issue since it's cooler at night anyways and thats when i tend to keep my lights off but in the day time temps seem to climb.

only really worried when it comes to flowering though vegging it's not too bad i get heat stress but it doesn't look concerning. maybe i will try to run this grow no fan and if it is that bad i'll add the fan this grow should be done by the time it gets way too hot though. probably around may it should be done if not early june

Portable ac would work or an ac on the next room and you could draw air from there

Can you just put the AC into the window in the main room to drop those temps so that the air getting intaken into the closet is already cooler?

i could try.. i wanted to keep it hidden though just cause i know they will complain "why are you running the AC and wasting electricity!" lol this is why we have our ac's just collecting dust

If you live in hawaii, indoor growing with an a/c is the way to go, you'll never look back.

You might also need a humidifier to go along with that depending on how sealed up or hot your area is.

yea i mean the venting part is just the hardest part like i literally need to cut a damn hole just to vent it out. i was looking at a swamp cooler but that doesn't seem to fit for my situation. probably will just run a high velocity fan inside for now. im looking at some tents to purchase. think imma just save all the good stuff for my tent build in the future. hopefully i get out of the aquarium hobby in a year or 2 then i can run a decent sized tent to fit 6 plants in and an actual exhaust and all that good stuff
